I searched a lot for this, but can't find a simple USB charger that snaps into a MOLLE panel, or bolts in. It would be nice if it were pretty much flush mount, just the DC wires protruding from the back. I have an overhead MOLLE panel, already have my 2-way, aux speaker, phone mount and RAM mounts for nav and Ipad mini.

Might be some 3d printed options out there, but with the wide variety of molle panel sizing and design it might be hard to find one that fits properly.

Honestly wouldn't be hard to draw up that would use one of those universal USB deals from Amazon. If you can get me the size of the slots in your panel I might be able to whip something up. I can't promise I can get it done right away as I have some projects I'm trying to finish up, but if I finish up early one of these evenings I can work on it.

Thank you for the reply's. I got to thinking about it, and since the panel is overhead the cable would be hanging down vertically, the weight of the cable would tend to disengage the connection, so I think I will go in a different direction. I already have one of the auxillary dual port usb gizmos that mounts on the A-pillar grab handle. I did not know that MOLLE panels may have different size openings, mine are slightly rectangular, 1 1/8 by 1 1/4.

Look for Rocker Switch size USB outlets. Not all MOLLE panels are actually true MOLLE / PALS sizing. If they are, these should snap in. They may be slightly loose but should work. Rocker switches work in the MOLLE panels that I design. Some of the parts that have MOLLE have slightly undersize holes just for this reason. The BedSide Compressor mounts are an example. The MOLLE on the sides can hold as many rocker switches that you can fit.

Thank you
Nice! I am actually writing this for my other Jeep, a '16 JKU. I am changing the radio to a Jenson that Crutchfield recommended (my original factory one is dying). They said there is a USB port behind the radio which then basically results in a wire hanging down on the floor or thereabouts. I do have a fake rocker panel switch that is probably used for some other option that I don't have, so using that switch space for the USB power thing would be great!

I went into the 813... website but didn't see anything that resembled what you are showing. Was I looking in the wrong place or hasn't it be updated to the website yet?

He doesnt sell the rocker switches, he was just stating those types of switches will fit the true MOLLE/PALS panels, and the panels that he sells.

OK, thanks. I was just getting my hopes up. I think it would be a good product that would sell given all the Jeeps out there (and other vehicles too) that have unused rocker panel things in their dashboards.

Hey, sorry for the confusion. I don't sell them directly. I saw several on Amazon. Search "rocker switch size usb outlet" and it should give you several options.

So what you’re saying is if you made a Molle panel that fit in that blank plate thing on the drivers side of the bed that nobody knows what to do with it could act as a switch/outlet panel…… :movember:

That would be easy to do. I’ve been working on some different ideas. I have one plate already that could be used to mount a diesel heater for those with building campers on the back of the truck. I’ve gone through a few different designs for air, couplers, and switches. Trying to find the one I like the best.

I like the molle panel idea. Top row for switches and outlets then bottom 1-2 to mount a shovel to so I can actually find the dang thing. It never seems to be where I left it in the bed. :CWL:
I’ll see what I can do!
