Thanks @bakobobby! I have too much stuff from my JK. Rooftop tent and tons of gear so pretty set to go. Will let you know when I am going to head out your way.
Was able to get a short trail ride in while in San Diego. Nothing but dirt road, but still a good start to the shakedown.
AEV is fixed pricing like Apple. No discount from what you see on the web builder, but I did order in December and prices went up a bit in January so I saved a few bucks.

They have some nice leather options but...
Day two install - Hot Heads headliner with sound assassin strips.
Had the Hot Heads liner in my JK and didn't hesitate to get it for the JT over the Mopar one.
Great product and amazing service from @Hothead Headliners !
Installed with the top on. Not an issues with dust since the interior of...
RSI Smartcap Evo installed day one.
Easy to assemble and install. I did get three friends to drop by and toss it on the JT.
Purchased from @Northridge4x4 - always great support !
And great product from @SmartCap !
Two tips:
1) I would go with a thicker strip than what they send for the low rail...
Hey,
Going to start a thread on my new AEV JTR Diesel. Previous ride was a 2014 JKUR.
Going to use the term "build thread" loosely since it is starting out mostly built.
After building out the JK I wanted to start off with a big head start.
Live in SoCal and bought the truck in Kentucky from...
Assembled my Evo over the weekend and put it on the JT today. The quality is excellent.
Assembled by myself and was pretty easy. Takes a little time with all the bolts.
Two tips:
1) I would probably go with a thicker strip than what they send for the low rail up against the cab. Probably...
Tried and failed at AAA. Went in the morning between meetings and they tentatively said yes they could switch it to passenger. Wasn't as easy as just having a camper shell though.
It needed to be a permanent modification meant for human habitation. Said I had a fridge, portable toilet and a...
Didn't know this. My ram is also commercial and assume the JT will be the same. Going to see if I can get the reg converted to passenger car and save a few bucks since the Ram has a topper.
Was looking at this teraflex one - cheap but does have shipping costs.

Similar to what I will pull. Think we are around 4000 dry. Looks like your set up is working! No joke on space, hardly room for the hoses let alone everything else.
@Glad_he_ate what size trailer are you pulling? I have a Lance 1685 that is 21' tip to end and 5500 gvw. Thinking it should pull ok. My JTRD will be here in a couple weeks. Have a Ram 1500 as my main TV.
Just doing all the final details on my new JT today and used my credit union. So easy. Sent them the contract from the dealer who is in Kentucky (I'm in SoCal) and it couldn't be smoother. All docusign and they are overnighting the check to them including my down payment.
In contrast I sold...
Agree, when you add it all up the price is not too bad. Also, locked in the pricing end of year and everything went up in January so it saves a few dollars. I think resale, if I ever sell it, would be good with an AEV built package vs home built with the same parts. A lot of the fun for me is in...
Its under way, thanks for asking! It shipped to them last Monday. They said 30-45 days to complete and get shipped to me. Hoping that holds true. Probably would have been cheaper to build it on my own. However, I wanted to just get it done properly out of the gate. Always loved the AEV stuff and...
