I was planning on being out there this weekend but my wife had already made other plans for us. ?
Im hoping to get out there at least once more before the oppressive heat arrives, not much time left, hopefully the following weekend.
Have fun!
In ‘87 I turned 18, 2 days later I graduated from high school, 2 days after that I was in Parris Island SC MCRD. I didnt ride a bike again until ‘94. A 7 year hiatus, but oh that glorious feeling when I finally did ride again, that was the year I rode and bought my first Mt Bike, a department...
My feelings as well. Last time I was at Greer there were a couple older (much older than me) riders on e-bikes doing laps, props to them, they looked to be in their mid-60’s.
I havent swung a leg over an e-bike yet and hope I dont need to until my knees cant take it anymore.
Oh boy, in ‘84 I was still in high school, riding a 10 spd Nakamichi road bike. Man, my weekends were filled with chores, lawn mowing, whatever work my neighbors wanted for over a summer to pay for that. If I recall correctly it was about $140.00
Thanks for making me feel young(er)! ?
Oh man, I ran my Trek 900 through the ringer, it was my race bike, everyday bike, commuter, beach cruiser, do it all bike, anytime I flew anywhere I would pack it in a solid bike box and UPS it to and from my destination, that bike had more miles on it than all my other bikes combined. Then my...
I followed the link, looked at all the pics, watched the video. Im not against e-bikes, but Im totally not for an overpriced, bottom-end e-bikes. Some of my riding buddies have bought e-mt bikes recently and for sure, they cost a lot, but they are paying little more than that one cost with the...
Im old, Ive been mt biking since the mid ‘90’s,
Ive built all my own, kids and wifes mt bikes since ‘98. I raced at Big Bear before they closed it down to mt biking and then again many years later when they opened it up again, as well as most of the grass-roots racing and clubs local to SoCal...
We might be going out there next weekend. Theres alot of places you can go in Anza-Borrego and Ocotillo Wells with your stock rubi that are pretty dang awesome.
Welcome!
We met-up with a couple friends to wheel around Ocotillo Wells. Both JL’s are stock, a JL Sport and a JL Rubicon.
We had just finished The Lost Lizard Trail and parked at The Pumpkin Patch for a snack before heading out to Truckhaven.
Yea, its a fun event. Thats what I was asking though, if anyone knows if any of the off-road groups plan to meet-up and do a trail-run(s). Im sure theres stuff on face-book but I dont have face-book.
We’re going to head out there for at least a day-trip and so far, camping is up in the air for...
Well, pre-covid it was pretty cool, trail-runs, lots of offroad vendors, shenanigans at the 4x4 training center out at Truckhaven in Anza Borrego Desert State Vehicle Recreation Area.
A big event put on by The Tierra Del Sol offroad club.
Last year the live event was basically cancelled due to...
Well, TDS is this weekend. I know there’s only going to be apparel vendors instead of the whole enchilada. Theres also a raffle drawing on Sunday 3/6/22. But has anyone heard if theres going to be trail-run?
