  1. Washington, D.C. Stock Rubicon Front Bumper with skid

yes it will be off my Jeep Friday. New bumper coming for Christmas.
  2. Washington, D.C. Stock Rubicon Front Bumper with skid

Selling the stock plastic (not steel) front bumper from my Gladiator Rubicon. It does have the metal skid below protecting the sway bar. Unfortunately since we run front tags in VA it has holes for the tag. Also has a small rock rash on the skid. Bumper in perfect shape. I am in Northern VA...
  3. 1st Jeep

Congrats. Post up some pictures of the first off road trip. Many of the rock slider options can function as steps and also work with the stock sliders. A good example are the ACE sliders. https://aceengineeringandfab.com/products/ace-jt-gladiator-rock-sliders
  4. How do Your Freedom Panels Fit?

No leaks or alignment issues but my panels do rattle a good bit. Not much on the highway and much quieter than my JKUR but they seem loose and rattling at low speeds and over bumpy road. I tried tightening everything and didn’t find anything loose.
  5. Max Tow and Lockers

yes not a garage install unless you have significant experience and tools. Best left to a shop. Expect it to cost about $2k for both axles for install (parts extra). May as well do gears too at the same time.
  6. Odd noise when pressing accelerator

Very true. They worked hard to find the issue. Apparently they resorted to a technology called Chassis Ears which are a tech that has listening sensors that record all over the vehicle and send data back to a computer to find a sound. This is want found the issue and isolated it. Listening...
  7. Odd noise when pressing accelerator

The noise is fixed! Apparently the rear differential was the issue and the dealer replaced the entire rear d44. They believe the locker or gears were installed incorrectly and when I activated the locker off-road I caused whatever was installed wrong to make noise. Odd. They sent the whole...
  8. Update your steering stabilizer

I would not recommend using an upgraded stabilizer to correct wobble. This will likely improve your steering feel at highway speeds but a wobble is indicative of another issue and should be investigated and resolved and not covered up with a stronger stabilizer.
  9. Breakover angle

I definitely scrape more on rocks than my 2 door or my 4 door but as said the pickup bed makes it worth it. My Gladiator Rubicon rode every trail the rest of my crew in 2 door wranglers did with just a bit more metal on rock scraping sounds. That’s what skids are for. And btw I can carry a...
  10. Whistling Noise w/ acceleration

I can assure you that you don’t want the sound mine makes. You can’t drive long distance at highway speeds without getting a headache. It’s loud.
  11. Whistling Noise w/ acceleration

sounds very similar to my issue. No noise when I punch it only when light acceleration at highway speeds. No idea if replacing the rear will resolve this issue but will know this week. The part took 10 days to arrive.
  12. Whistling Noise w/ acceleration

I have a whistle noise on mine that is heard with light acceleration and is much louder at 55-65mph. Been at the dealer for almost 3 weeks and they have determined my rear locker was somehow broken or installed incorrectly. Replacing the entire rear diff.
  13. reverse with the door open.

It does somehow disable with the doors off so there must be a way to trick it to think the doors are off.
  14. At what point do I escalate a repair?

Thank you for responding. It looks like the dealer did escalate to Jeep and they believe they have found the issue. Seems like the rear diff has an issue they are thinking is related to the rear locker. Hopefully once the new rear diff comes in I will get my Jeep back.
  15. Odd noise when pressing accelerator

We may have found the issue. The dealer working with Jeep has used some listening tools (called Chassis ear) and have isolated the sound to the rear diff. Looks like either gears or locker issues in the diff causing the sound. I do use the Jeep on rock terrain so have activated the locker...
  16. At what point do I escalate a repair?

Thanks for the reply. I will reach out to them.
  17. At what point do I escalate a repair?

So I am a full week (dropped it off last Monday) in on a repair to my Gladiator and the dealer has no idea as to the source of the issue. I described the issue in another thread but in short I have a squeak/whine that is only heard when pushing the accelerator at about 50-60 mph. Pushing it...
  18. Odd noise when pressing accelerator

Anyone have thoughts on this? A full week at the dealer tomorrow. Based on discussion with them Friday that have no idea what to do next.
  19. Launch edition Engine misfire

Wow. I agree. A buyback sounds in order. They should be able to work with Jeep corporate to take care of you.
  20. Odd noise when pressing accelerator

I am experiencing a whistle or humming noise when driving above 50 mph and lightly touching the accelerator. It just started with about 9100 miles on it. I have a Rubicon running 35” tires and have a 1” spacer lift and aftermarket steering stabilizer (fox ATS adjustable). Everything else stock...
