  2. Hidden Falls this weekend, any tips?

You’re much more likely to high center than ever drag your hitch enough to matter. I didn’t drag mine and if I did it was coming off a ledge descending, so no threat of getting hung up, if that’s what you’re worried about. Black paint is easy to touch up. We wheel with another stock gladiator...
  3. Car and Driver: Would you rather? Gladiator vs GMC Canyon

But you have to use a sawz-all to get the top off the Chevy.
  4. Better incentives in February on leftover 23s?

Are there many Diesel JT’s still out there?
  5. Your Jeep's name

    Wife named it Pennywise.
  6. Gladiator is crap for towing

Maybe because of all the heavy scrap-iron hanging off your jeep, and tall tires with improper gearing. Maybe shifting manually will preserve the transmission because I’m sure it shifted in and out of overdrive constantly your entire trip. It’s a dual purpose vehicle. Not great for towing, but...
  7. Will 38's kill my gas milage?

I can’t imagine another inch and 3# making more than 1mpg difference in fuel mileage. And brand to brand they vary so much…. are the current tires actually 37ā€ and new tires actually 38ā€? Hell I’m only averaging 17mpg with 34ā€ tires.
  8. Need towing package clarification

Yours has Tow package but not Max tow. Mine is same but trailer tow came with the Texas Trail edition. Mine has an electric trailer brake contoller, but no clue if it came with it or was added by previous owner. Does yours have the brake contoller?
  9. Throwback Thursday!!! Let's see those trade-ins vs what you have now photos!!!

Trade-in? What’s that? We keep everything or pass it to our kids lol. The V8 Explorer has over 300k miles. V10 Excursion 260k.
  10. We want to hear from you! - JeepCares

Hurricane engine as standard in JT with max tow. Optional otherwise. Heated and cooled seats std with leather seats.
  11. 35s and No Lift Thread

I’ll look for pics of the poke on my setup. Texas Trail edition is same as Willys I believe. I’m running Nitto 305/70/17 which measure very close to 34ā€. I’ll have to look at the back of the rim to give you offset as they were on mine when I bought it.
  12. 35s and No Lift Thread

There is more height and width in the Rubicon/Mojave flares. How much, IDK.
  13. 35s and No Lift Thread

My Nitto 305/70r/17’s (close to 34ā€) didn’t rub until I unhooked the front sway bar so it would fully articulate during technical rock crawling. The tires do get into the bottom of the Rugged Ridge front bumper hard when turning while articulated and outer plastic of fenders sometimes. So...
  14. Happy Fri-YAY!!! Let's see those Front End Selfies!!!

Second day of ownership, couldn’t wait to get the doors and tops off!
  15. Positive Spin

We have always had some sort of open air capable ride. Wife totaled her Mustang convertible back in October so we went to the Ford dealership to order a ā€˜24 Bronco and this beautiful bright red ā€˜22 JT with mild upgrades was on the used lot. Bronco is 8 months out and we needed something fun to...
  16. 2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport S Max Tow w/ 3.5" Clayton Overland Lift on 38" 13.5 Milestar Pats

Nice rig! Tell me what on Imogene pass caused you to break? We’re planning on doing Imogene among others this July. I’ll be in a 3.5ā€ spring lifted Sport S with 33’s. Possibly 35’s by then. Ive been manually disconnecting the front sway bar an rocks around here.
  17. Vs. 2024 ZR2... (Edit- Test Driven, opinions inside)

Comparing anything from 2007 to current quality wise is no comparison. Quality control within all the manufacturers, especially domestic, has gone way downhill since 2007 (pre plandemic). And all the new bells and whistles with sensor and software issues. All having issues.
  18. Vs. 2024 ZR2... (Edit- Test Driven, opinions inside)

Steering is over assisted at 80mph and arm rests uncomfortable. I like how it rides and drives for anything less than an hour though.
  19. Vs. 2024 ZR2... (Edit- Test Driven, opinions inside)

If removing roof and/or doors are not your thing. Get something else. I agree a Jeep isn’t a relaxing interstate drive. What does the rest of the family think? Their opinion matters way more than anyone here.
