  4. do these trucks break down a lot?

93k and only issues were camshaft related and leaking axle seal. Both under warranty. Camshaft was NOT a minor repair. Took several trips to dealer over several months to get it under control.

Sorry, missed your last sentence that did state that. Note to self: READ EVERYTHING BEFORE POSTING
  7. Overlanding Power Setup Complete

Nice and clean setup. I agree with other poster about finding a way to reclaim some space for gear. Maybe you can add a platform on top of this one. You're going to want more space for items you really don't want in the back.
  8. Starlink Mini Interior Cab Freedom Top Install

I too did the RAM mount install. Works well. No issues hitting my head when getting things in/out of back seat area. So far its' been stable mounting wise.

Ace Engineering. Can mount with factory sliders installed. Built very solid.
  10. Who has changed out Mojave shocks for something else?

I put on a Clayton 2.5" lift and use Falcon SP2 3.3 adjustable shocks. I really like them. I even tune them on long road trips thru many states because some roads just aren't as well maintained as others. I prefer them firmer on good roads and then soften them up on sucky roads. They make...
  11. Really bumpy in the mornings

Tires have flat spots from sitting overnight. I get it too, but it goes away in a few miles. Generally not a summertime issue.
  12. Running electrical to the bed - Optimal entry point?

I ran mine thru the drivers side frame rail. Passengers side should work too. I see another poster did that side. On the drivers side of the bed there is a small < 1" hole (near the tailgate) that I put a grommet in and pushed wires thru that.
  13. Let’s talk shocks: Falcon 3.3 vs Bilstein 5160

I have the Falcon 3.3 SP2 shocks with Claytons 2.5" Overland + lift. I really like them. I had a Mustang prior so used to feeling bumps. It's not a Cadillac. Was just in Southern Utah last week and set them at Custom setting 2 for offroad and then on 5 for highway. Definitely can tell the...
  14. GMRS antenna question

I'll give you a real-world experience. I have a 50w radio. I mounted my Laird BB4505CNS antenna off the side of the cowl just like post #9. On the White Rim Road in Utah which has many elevation changes, turns and large rock obstructions, I was able to keep in touch with another group of...
  15. Cam shaft backordered

The service mgr at my local Jeep shop said he thinks it's steel quality. During covid it was hard to find and they were probably taking whatever they could get.
  16. Engine knock-brought it to the dealer today

Latest update - Brought my Gladiator in on 7/14. They opened another Star case on the 15th. On 23rd Jeep responded and recommended replacing the oil control valve and intake cam phaser on bank 2. Parts ordered. Now we wait. On the plus side they gave me a 2025 Gladiator Nighthawk to get...
  17. Best Mojave Lift & Tire Setups?

No, I replaced the Fox shocks with Falcon 3.3 SP2 adjustable shocks. The fox shocks had 68k miles on them so it was time. Really like the Falcons.

    Brand new 35's - Original Suspension 2.5" Clayton Overland+ Lift w/ Falcon SP2 3.3 Adjustable Shocks
  19. Engine knock-brought it to the dealer today

Just keeping those who are following this in the loop. I did bring the truck in (see above) and they said w/o an error code they wouldn't look at it. So I just got back from a GA-FL-GA trip and it exhibited the same issues. It would run great and then stumble on its' knees going up a hill. I...
