  1. Engine knock-brought it to the dealer today

Just got back from a 1000 mile round trip GA-MS-GA. On the way home I experienced power loss going up hills. Downshifting all the way to 5th and hunting between 5th-6th on a steady climb. It was even changing gears going down hill between 7 and 8. Earlier in the day I was thinking to...
  2. Engine knock-brought it to the dealer today

Well, the first 8 miles were OK. We'll see.
  3. Engine knock-brought it to the dealer today

OK, it's been a few days shy of 2 MONTHS and they drove 257 miles while my truck was in the shop. Got it back yesterday. For informational purposes I wanted to share the tech's notes regarding the fixing of the P0300 error. - Performed diagnostics for P0300 and P000A codes. - Connected...
  4. Are You a Cat Person or a Dog Person?

Cat family. They allow you to go away for 2-3 days and take care of themselves. I like that. Gives us travel freedom and we don't need someone to come over multiple times a day every day.
  5. Engine knock-brought it to the dealer today

It's still at the shop. Adviser said they are random. Data was gathered and sent to Jeep.

Well, after 6 weeks in the shop they finally got a replacement cam shaft. Fixed the cam shaft timing error but still getting P0300 misfires. Opening another Star case with Jeep. Already messed up one camping trip. Wonder how long this is going to go on. Even when they say it's fixed...
  7. Where can i get a 3.6 cam?

My dealership is telling me they need a Gen 2 cam for my 2021. They tell me they will only purchase from their supplier for warranty work. Won't keep individuals from purchasing aftermarket but it may impact any warranty you have left.
  8. I just purchased a 2023 gladiator sport S and I want to add items on it but have no clue on how to start.

33's make a big difference over stock tires in how much better it looks. Good start.
  9. Where can i get a 3.6 cam?

I'm in the queue too. You'd think they'd have dozens of these maintained in inventory given there are plenty of people who have issues.
  10. Cartoonize your JT (PICS)

I saw your pic and instantly knew where you were.
  11. Engine knock-brought it to the dealer today

I hear ya. In my troubleshooting world it is SOMETIMES more cost effective to narrow down the scope and then to replace parts. My customers are losing tens of thousands of dollars an hour when a manufacturing line is down. And yes, this method is sometimes used when we're footing the bill...
  12. Engine knock-brought it to the dealer today

Well, now the local Jeep crew can't figure out what's going on so a STAR case has been opened with Jeep. It's been two weeks since I brought it in. I have a camping trip end of April. Gotta say I'm not too impressed with troubleshooting skills. They could have replaced a few cheaper parts...

  16. Stock Mojave on 35s? Or regear necessary?

I've run heavy 35's for over 70k miles. I see 8th gear on level ground but you start going up and it drops to 7th pretty quick.
  17. Engine knock-brought it to the dealer today

So the question is: Did they not want to work on it or are the inept at their job? Hmmm.... Guess it pays to get a 2nd opinion.
