  1. She Said It's Hard to Get In

You definitely don't need a lift for our new Cross Terrain removable steps. They drop about as much as aftermarket steps. Plenty of people will put a drop step of this size on base sports, etc. The key is, ours are removable when needed and you can keep the factory rail. Heavy-duty sliders are...
  2. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Holding up really well! We have been doing some extensive off-road testing of our new Cross Terrain drop down steps for the factory rock rails. As such we’ve been wheeling a good amount and it is every bit as durable as the rest of the factory paint so far. These are current pictures as of...
  3. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Thanks!! Touchup direct online. I did the kit with the primer and the basecoat, but I did not do the clearcoat from them. It was a single stage, and I decided to get real 2K in a rattle can which was from Amazon. 1 can did several costs plus some extra
  4. Custom removable steps for factory Gladiator rock slider rails preview (coming soon)

At this point it is not likely. From a purely economic standpoint, it really does not make sense. Compared to any of the other existing step products for the factory rock slider rails. Our engineering, development and tooling costs are quite a bit higher, as our drop-down step is much more...
  5. Custom removable steps for factory Gladiator rock slider rails preview (coming soon)

Despite being the most drop of any step made for the factory rock sliders, we’re seeing pretty good clearance before needing to remove the step from the clamp. 14.5 inches to the bottom of the step. Stock Rubicon XR šŸ‘āœŒ
  6. DOT 3 vs DOT 4 Brake Fluid

Pinky promise!! šŸ˜‚ In all seriousness, with the Automotive business I am swapping cars every few years and have several cars. So, none in the stable are a good fit for that type of Dot 4 anymore. The ate type 200 and super blue version are not low viscosity. Plenty of vehicles out there still to...
  7. DOT 3 vs DOT 4 Brake Fluid

3, 4 and 5.1 are compatible to mix. 6 is not going to be needed on a Jeep. I remember the days of alternating the Ate type 200 blue with the amber for German cars. They made the blue illegal, at least in the USA so now they are all amber. I use Ate SL.6 low viscosity Dot4 on every vehicle in...
  8. DOT 3 vs DOT 4 Brake Fluid

I’m originally from Phoenix but have lived in So-Cal a long time. I’m mostly driving across the SW US and this is mountainous and hilly terrain. See lots of Gladiators out on the roads with travel trailers here. Where you live is definitely also a factor/ consideration.
  9. DOT 3 vs DOT 4 Brake Fluid

But this applies to Dot 3 the same as Dot 4, and is a constant. Just because Dot 4 is a bit more hydroscopic does not mean Dot 3 is not. In this situation, you would be contaminating both fluids. When this happens it reduces the fluids boiling point and efficiency. Being that as it may, the Dot...
  10. DOT 3 vs DOT 4 Brake Fluid

We are all welcome to do exactly as we please with our Jeeps. I'm just trying to help the OP make an educated choice and this is factually inaccurate. 1) The braking system is a closed, sealed system and subjecting the Jeep to water has no impact on what braking fluid you use. 2) Dot 4 has a...
  11. Custom removable steps for factory Gladiator rock slider rails preview (coming soon)

While the molds have been tooling we have been running them hard and intentionally knocking them around. We had a lot of rain that made testing fun! No issues…. We are starting to test all of the molds now: We anticipate all molds being tested by next week so we can then test the final...
  12. DOT 3 vs DOT 4 Brake Fluid

Not totally true. It all comes down to the use. The most basic bmw 228i gran coupe that is mostly a service loaner and is technically a mini cooper has the same dot4 fluid from the factory as our M4 competition that is running almost 750 hp. We don’t track that M4, so we leave the OEM fluid in...
  13. DOT 3 vs DOT 4 Brake Fluid

Dot4 is a better fluid and is typically cross compatible. The one thing to keep in mind is that it is more hydroscopic and needs quicker change intervals vs Dot3. All of our BMWs have used it for a long time and we always switch the Jeeps over. The factory recommended change interval on Dot4 is...
  14. Custom removable steps for factory Gladiator rock slider rails preview (coming soon)

The production of our various molds and stamping equipment is done and we are nearing production, once we are able to make some test steps to test out all of the final molds and then test the final coating. To this point we have hand made all of the test mules. We've continued to off-road and...
  15. She Said It's Hard to Get In

We are about a month away from having our NXTGEN Cross Terrain steps, ready for the Gladiator. They are the strongest most functional drop down step for the factory rails. Setting up our Patent Pending clamping system takes a little bit of time for the first install, but then it’s just a...
  16. It’s time. Grenadier

Why do you think the X3 M40i is near end of life at about 75k miles? These are not the BMWs of the past. Unless there is a current issue, modern BMWs are very reliable cars when taken care of well, even making a lot of extra power. I get wanting a different experience, and that's totally fine...

I have not washed it yet, but I did lightly sand and polish it when I put it on and it seems solid. No pro painter here, but if it is peeling off, it must be in the prep or the solvents. This was very textured ABS. I did scuff it with some 1500 grit to smooth it a bit. The Jeep paint has a good...

honesty was not particularly hard. It’s MUCH easier when it’s a full separate piece vs blending. It was all rattle cans. The hood is not totally closing all of the way so we may need to remove a little material somewhere.
