Installed Metalcloak Front and Rear Differential Covers today. The reusable gaskets make life so much easier.

Hit 5K miles this week and decided to change out the rear diff factory fill. No chunks and in went Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-140. Generally not a Amsoil fanboy but my neighbor gifted me 4 quarts of the stuff due to retirement and upcoming move.

Measured off what was drained vs. fill to spill out fill plug hole and that was a extra 1/2 quart. Checked front and that took an extra 1/4 quart. For good measure, check transfer case and that was fine.

Since we wheel in dusty areas a lot, we purchased the AmFib snorkel for our shop Rubicon XR.

I wanted the replacement panel to color match and not be black, so I rattle caned it with primer, then Anvil, then used 2k clear out of a can.

paint went down well, I think it turned out great! 👍

Where did you get “rattle can” Anvil from? Looks fantastic by the way.

Not just today but for the last couple of months. Been getting ready for first trip of the year, Death Valley first week of April.
*Removed old rack and installed full rack
*Replaced OE JTM bumper with OE JTR bumper
*Warn winch plate and HF 12000lb winch
*Flip up license plate, new fail lead and hook
*Added fender flares

When did you get your Apex winch? Seems they might have changed the design some since I got mine. Your control box looks taller and narrower than mine, and I had to hack off about 3/4" of the engage handle to clear the opening on the stock steel bumper on my '22 Rubicon. But I do see your Mojave bumper cut out looks different, I used the fairlead license plate bracket...... Extra skid plate......

Thanks!! Touchup direct online.

I did the kit with the primer and the basecoat, but I did not do the clearcoat from them. It was a single stage, and I decided to get real 2K in a rattle can which was from Amazon.

1 can did several costs plus some extra

Not today, but recap before/after, pulling same camper. Upgraded to the Fox 2.0 steering damper, very nice..... I'm comparing an 1800 mile mostly flat trip without, to the 200 mile mostly hills and twisty I just got back from.

I got the winch about 6 months ago. I was told I would have to cut the handle so I was prepared but I didn’t have to. This bumper is off a 21 or 22 Rubicon. Only had to oblong the 2 rear mounting holes on the skid plate to make up for the winch plate thickness.

Put the metal cloaks HD steering kit on. I should have gone full game changer lift kit. I didn’t listen before, but I know now.
Buy once, cry once.

hopefully I get it aligned today. Didn’t touch the control arms and it looks like my camber is blown out negatively. Tires chirp the whole time going forward. 😂

Secondly: the kit states it is compatible with stock back spacing my rims determined that was a lie.

Holding up really well! We have been doing some extensive off-road testing of our new Cross Terrain drop down steps for the factory rock rails. As such we’ve been wheeling a good amount and it is every bit as durable as the rest of the factory paint so far.

These are current pictures as of posting, after a few rounds of wheeling and washing.

The ABS material on the snorkel is pretty heavily textured, but it’s reasonably small grain. when painting, I just slightly scuffed it up. From a few feet away or more you can’t really see due to several wet coats of paint and clear. I’ve taken pictures from a few inches to a few feet.

Depending upon your personal preference, I simply just scuffed it up a little bit, but if you wanted to get really intricate, you could sand it down more to remove that texture and make it smooth. If I did it again I might make it smooth?!

Here is the clear I used, really worked well:

Badlands definitely changed their design, mine is older, '23 version probably. One of the big complaints when I got mine was ''Warn let's you clock the engage handle at 3,6,9,12" mine is 3 and 9, that's why I had to hack mine down. It was super close though, I took a little extra because I'm kinda attached to my knuckle skin. I did have to wallow out a couple holes too.
