  1. 33" tire option for 18" Overland wheel

Were they load range E? Can you post a pic?
  2. 33" tire option for 18" Overland wheel

Thanks. That's kind of what I suspected. I've been cruising the ebay Rubicon take-off section as well, but then you need to buy a set of TPMS sensors. The advantage of the 17's is that I could run true mud tires in the summer and then run the 18's in the winter. I'll mull it over.
  3. 33" tire option for 18" Overland wheel

Hi folks, I have the Bridgestone all-season 255x70x18 tires (32") that came stock on my Overland. The tires are fine for street driving; however I'd like a slightly larger tire with much more aggressive tread. It seems the problem is the 18" rim size. I don't want to modify the suspension or...
  4. Which transfer case is best?

I'm referring to a stock Bronco with the Sasquatch package (f/r lockers, swaybar disconnect, 35" tires) vs a stock Rubicon. I think the Bronco would perform as well off road as the Jeep.
  5. Which transfer case is best?

That's why I said "if you have the room." There are some times the long wheelbase has an advantage, but the Jeep has great trail dimensions. My absolute favorite vehicle for trail work would be a 1994-1997 Land Rover Defender 90. As good of trail dimensions as a 2-door Wrangler, but with a...
  6. Which transfer case is best?

It seems the new larger Bronco can match the Jeep. There are obviously many similarities. The biggest difference is the IFS front suspension on the Bronco. If you have lots of money, the Mercedes G-Class may also be able to match it. Possibly a Colorado ZR2 truck, and if you have the room, a RAM...
  7. JEEP SEATS - UGG!

Seat comfort is subjective and will vary between a person's height, weight, and any possible health issues. I'm 6'5" and find the Overland seats to be reasonably comfortable. Yes, my head hits the soundbar unless I recline the seat somewhat. I thought I would need the quadratech rails to move...
  8. 2024 Tacoma - Here’s The New Competition! ? Hybrid Model Added ?

I really don't think the Gladiator competes with other mid size trucks. It really is in its own segment. It is a Wrangler with a bed and a fully removable or convertible top. It still has a solid front axle, which ultimately is the best for off-road use. It has all the cool oddities of the...
  9. What's New for 2023: Jeep Gladiator - Model Summary

Thanks Nukizer. Nice little touch, but I've always felt the Gladiator badge on the fender should be something better than a decal. On the other hand, its nice starting to see a few US flags appearing on automobiles. This is nice, and so is the flag embossed into the dash edges of every new...
  10. What's New for 2023: Jeep Gladiator - Model Summary

What is this American flag on the fender that is now standard? I don't see it.
  11. Best, stock-looking and reasonably priced LED front lighting upgrade?

My new Overland has halogen headlights, and I find they really are not that great. I have a couple of other vehicles with halogen headlights that are considerably brighter. I'd love to convert to factory LED headlights and DRL / turn signals, but I imagine the cost is pretty high and there may...
  12. How much can my Gladiator tow?

Thanks for that info. Door sticker tells trailer towing capacity? My understanding is that it tells you the Jeep's GVWR and maximum payload.
  13. How much can my Gladiator tow?

Just bought a new leftover 2022 Gladiator Overland automatic Pentastar. It does have the tow package, how much is the truck rated to pull? If I'm reading the chart correctly, the answer is 6,000lbs. I'm not new to towing. I have three trailers including a 30-foot gooseneck I tow with my F-350...
  14. Engine died during water crossing

When driving slow and steady into deep water with a vehicle, you create a small bow wave like in a boat. This will slightly lower the level of the water inside the engine bay, usually by a few inches, compared to the outside water level.
