I've previously reported that my JT Mojave Fox shocks were noisy just prior to the expiration of my B2B 3/36 warranty. Reported it to the Jeep dealer, and after 2 visits they agreed. They ordered me new replacements (took several weeks to receive all shocks/parts). Got them installed last Friday...
I've only ever purchased ONE new car, and that was a 1983 Toyota Tercel. I also purchased ONE new motorcycle (years before), a 1975 Yamaha 500. Ever since then, I've purchased USED vehicles. Usually 2-yr old vehicles. Otherwise, you're losing thousands (depreciation) on a new one before you even...
I'm being repetitive with the major content of this post (mostly other threads), but my Jeep dealer says the noise is coming from my Fox shocks ('21 JT Mojave), it's a known (by dealer service departments) issue; and I have a full set of replacements (all 4 corners) in various stages of, in...
[15 months later, with my response] ... My Fox shocks on my '21 Mojave are getting replaced under warranty. They are creakin' like an ol' '57 truck that hasn't been lubed on schedule.
I like the Sarge Green and the Bronze wheels. I'm just not into all these mods folks do. I guess because I'm a turn-key guy, and I'm OCD, so if I were to try some of these mods, they would eventually get done, but I'm a sometimes perfectionist, and my ride would be sitting in a garage (& I don't...
Thread is 2 years old, but my question is related. Excerpts from my 2021 JT Mojave manual: "The Media Hub, located on the instrument panel, below the climate controls, contains a Type C USB port and one standard USB port. The Smart Charging USB ports provide power to your device..."
My question...
I initially found you on YouTube while doing my research into a JT purchase, and your channel/adventures played a part in my decision to buy my JT Mojave back in October of 2023. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR DECADE OF ADVENTURE! ✝
I researched for several months and decided on the Mojave. I'm not planning on investing thousands in lifting, new wheels, wider tires, etc. If that's your plan, go with a basic, like a Sport edition (per my research) and you'll pay less up front for the JT, & you can use the extra cash for the...
I also believe the unit is defective. I just tried it with a different cable, in both the USB-C & USB-A ports on my JT. Now it's not showing any charging capability - not even the microbursts it was previously showing. I also brought it into the house and used USB-C & USB-A ports on a 110v...
If you've happened to read my other posts, then you can ignore my repetition. This '21 JT is my first Jeep purchase. I bought it because: 1. I needed another truck; 2. I like that it's a convertible; and, 3. IMHO, it looks/drives handsome/awesomely.
My only complaints thus far are: 1. the TSB...
I purchased, & yesterday received, a bulletpoint system. It's pricey, but definitely sturdy. I ordered the phone charger mount (https://www.bulletpointmountingsolutions.com/products/bulletpoint-magsafe-compatible-wireless-phone-charger?variant=40626754322547) and I'm only getting short charge...
Bulletpoint mounts (critique/complaint); long story: They have a lot of ads and the ads drew me in. Considering the bullets arranged in an American flag pattern, I thought "must be American made." Due diligence required. Appeared to be a solid phone mount solution, so I ordered: a Matte Color...
AS A retired LT, I found this funny. Twelve years enlisted, 11 years an LT. Long story, but the goal was Army flight school & retirement - checked both boxes.
Added Mopar grab handles in front, and door sills front & rear. The temp here in NC hit 71 last Saturday when I installed these. The door sills call for at least 68 degrees before installation, so I got 'er done without having to wait until springtime. I'll take 71 in late January, baby!
The guys over at accutuneoffroad dot com said this about the warrantied Fox shocks based on me questioning the dealer replacing those shocks with the same - possibly defective, although new - units:
"At this time the Mojave is a difficult application since the Front Shocks use a different size...
The 35x11.50R17 will fit my stock JT Mojave wheels, which is my planned tire size when my current M/T tread is worn down. HOW MUCH ARE THE 35's (each? set of 4? set of 5?)?
My last visit to my local Jeep dealer revealed that the stock Fox shocks wear out between 30K & end of warranty @ 36K. Shocks have been ordered for all four corners of my JT Mojave. I recognized the issue at around 33-34K miles. The service manager informed me that the Fox shocks are well known...
