  1. Plywood topper.....no really - Ben Franklin T-Chart Decision Making

Yea, obviously super rough numbers, but it's believable. That's really beefy material. Matt
  2. BuiltRight's 2020 Gladiator Build Thread

Hmm, that hadn't crossed my mind. The only thing I can think of is if the 'anchors' are a part of the carpets. I imagine you could get creative and work around that. I'll take a look over lunch. Matt
  3. BuiltRight's 2020 Gladiator Build Thread

These OEM floor mats are pretty excellent. Better than the weathertechs and husky liners I've had in previous trucks for sure. Integrating the floor drain is great. I haven't cut them out yet, but will. Matt
  4. BuiltRight's 2020 Gladiator Build Thread

Haha, builtrightind.com is my site. Thank you Sir! Gotta pay the bills first, then have fun! Matt
  5. Plywood topper.....no really - Ben Franklin T-Chart Decision Making

At a very quick glance, I'm guessing this is showing you an unsupported beam bending, in which case, 1.7" seems quite reasonable. To verify, I simulated the same beam with a 100lb Gladiator Multitool on the end. This shows 49mm of deflection, which is roughly 1.9". The difference is probably a...
  6. BuiltRight's 2020 Gladiator Build Thread

Alright, I think I mentioned them in this thread, or maybe it was another, but I design and manufacture these 'Bedside Rack' panels for the Ford platform. We've finally got a full utility patent pending review, so I'm excited to explore the idea of expanding that product line. At the very least...
  7. BuiltRight's 2020 Gladiator Build Thread

Haha, I design and manufacture accessories for Ford trucks (possibly adding Jeeps...)! Got your PM! Bottom of the rack to the bed rails is exactly 6", which I believe makes the measurement to the bed around 23.5". All subject to adjustment though. I'm curious - to fit something specific? Thank...
  8. Man-sized Gladiator Multi-tool!

I won't be the one to put a logo on the side, but based on my experience, it's unlikely that a wall-art sized likeness would be any sort of issue. I'd also only be interested if it was for a charitable cause or a prize or something - not really the type of stuff I make to sell at the moment. Matt
  9. Man-sized Gladiator Multi-tool!

This is awesome! If only somebody around here had a cnc plasma table ;). I'd be willing to do a super short run of these for a charitable cause or something. I don't have the means to do the markings cleanly, but could cut the blanks pretty easily. Matt
  10. Is Led headlamp and taillamp standard on the Overland?

I believe you swap the entire housing, but that upfitting from standard lights to the LED lights is a relatively simple plug and play. Matt
  11. 35s or 37s?

I went with the 35's for the reasons most above me have posted. I actually opted to go with the BFG KO2 in 317/70r17, which as noted above is a touch (.1in) smaller than their 35x12.50r17. It is a bit wider, though. Most importantly, it's a C load rating tire, which I run on my full size truck...
  12. Gladiator Safari Cap (make this)

Well consider me intrigued. Let's back the requirements up a touch so that I can make sure I've got my arms around the end goal rather than the nuts and bolts of it. 1.) Need to support the weight/wind load of the canvas cover 2.) Need to provide space for snaps/velcro/etc to tie down cover at...
  13. Tops! Canopy / covers / toppers / racks possibilities for Gladiator - Show me!

Would require basically a fresh design since 22" is high enough that I'd want to be running some FEA to make sure it's strong/stable enough, but it could certainly be done. What would you be looking to carry/attach/accomplish with it? Matt
  14. Tops! Canopy / covers / toppers / racks possibilities for Gladiator - Show me!

Custom rack I've been building! https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/builtrights-2020-gladiator-build-thread.17192/page-2#post-271911
  15. The Big Jeep Thing - New Milford, CT - July 28, 2019

Ha, right you are. I had read it elsewhere without the explanation. Call me skeptical, but I can respect the policy! Matt
  16. The Big Jeep Thing - New Milford, CT - July 28, 2019

I was surprised by that as well. A safety thing, maybe, or maybe it's a policy of the property owner's? Who knows. Matt
  17. The Big Jeep Thing - New Milford, CT - July 28, 2019

Will I see any of you there? I had my JT out behind the shop today and one of our neighbors is a Jeep guy and came over talking about how we had to be there. Looks like a fun event with great turnout. Mud Pit and Rock Crawling is that's your thing, as well as just a general get together. I...
  18. BuiltRight's 2020 Gladiator Build Thread

Ok, finally have a minute to post a bit about the bed rack that I built and have been using. I've wanted to make something like this for a while and recently got this CNC plasma table, which really made it possible. I started by drawing the whole thing out and knew that I wanted it to be based...
  19. TJ's Crawler/Overland Build

Great video, TJ - subscribed! If we can be a part of your build or help in any way, let me know. Always happy to support fellow enthusiasts. Matt
  20. BuiltRight's 2020 Gladiator Build Thread

That's a good question. I didn't measure it, although I'm sure it did, based on the fact that I can push on the tailgate and watch the rear squat. I'm gonna take the RTT off next week to make some changes and will measure before/after. Matt
