  1. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

So far, it seems like the TL;DR: is that Jeep boned this up regarding putting an effective complete suspension on Diesel Gladiators, owners need to compensate by either getting a Diesel spec lift, or at minimum the TF leveling spacer. Does that sound about right?
  2. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Pack mule, thanks for the assist! I guess I’m glad I’m not the only one, but I expected jeep to compensate better for the higher weight loading of the diesel on the suspension
  3. Gladiator gas octane?

Or you could switch to Cetane. ?
  4. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

I don’t suppose you have video of that collapse do you? While I acknowledge my finger leverage inside that spring is very weak, it seems very firm. I also acknowledge that the weight of the front end can exert a lot more pressure than my finger squeezing through the coil. I would just like...
  5. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Renegade, yes, it looks like about 2-5/8” from the bottom of the spring to the bottom of the metal cup lip. However, the clear/translucent bump stop is at the 1.5” line. So, that’s what I’m calling up travel. do you disagree? If so, why?
  6. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

MacAttack, Q1: no, there’s one more coil under the one with the hole Q2: I don’t see a crack, I think it’s just paint peeling
  7. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

maybe this works... @JeepCares I’ve seen others do this, so I guess we’ll see if they have anything to comment on.
  8. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Sorry for the delay... here is a couple of photos with the tape inside the spring it looks like I have about 1.5” of uptravel before hitting the bump stops.
  9. After much consideration... Traded my Max Tow for Eco Diesel

I ordered the Ecodiesel because I felt like it would tow better, even though it is rated less in capacity. I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Congrats!
  10. Body Color or Black Fender Flares?

I think it depends on the color. I like the punkin with black roof and fenders. I saw a triple punkin the other day and i think it looks strange. On the other hand I think the white ones look better with body color roof and fenders. Then there are others that look good either way, like the...
  11. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Renegade, how would you suggest I place the tape measure?
  12. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

I was thinking it was the extra weight of the diesel too, but didn’t they put heavier duty springs and shocks to make up for that extra weight? my F-150 3.0L diesel didn’t hit bump stops on the same road. I guess what I’m I hearing you saying is I need an aftermarket suspension lift?
  13. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

I don’t have any heavy upgrades yet. Just a couple of KC lights and a radio currently. I think it’s the bump stops hitting, but it hasn’t happened on my previous vehicles or our JL.
  14. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Is anyone else experiencing their JT bottoming out on roads that other cars (trucks, JL Rubicon, anything else really) don’t have problems with? It happens even with undulations in the road, not just pot holes and railroad tracks. I have a JTDR, stock suspension.
  15. Tow Mirrors - Rampage Adapters for JT/JL

Ordered! My (approximately) 30’ travel trailer has a wireless camera system (sides and rear), but I miss not having the extra piece of mind from my super duty mirrors. From your reviews, it looks like these will scratch that itch for me. I can’t wait to get these in and use them...
  16. Cooling options for towing?

I don’t know there’s much you can do about increasing your trailer tow capacity. Total towing capacity is limited by the GCWR. Here’s why: the difference between my diesel rubi (11,800 GCWR) and a 3.6L auto rubi (12,450 GCWR) tow capacity difference is 1000lbs (6000lbs vs 7000lbs). I’m...
  17. Texas Mopar rubicon rock rails SA TX area $150 per pair

Yeah, I still have them. I’ll be back in town on Sunday, but will probably be available to meet Monday at the earliest.
  18. Aux wires location?

Does anyone know where the under hood aux switch wires are located in the eco Diesel engine bay? I’ve looked all around the battery and I don’t think I’m seeing it. nevermind. I found it. I just didn’t know I was looking at it.
  19. 1111 mile JTRD review

im not certain I will sell it, but I do like having the hard top on. I’ll probably get the sunrider to replace the front freedom panels.
