I have to second the Grand Design option. Wife works at an RV dealer and is a qualified service tech /service writer for them. She tells me they have fewer issues with GD than any other manufacturer. Fit and finish is leaps and bounds above the rest. Me, I don't want a house on wheels but...
I ended up mounting a pair off led pods I had on hand (Northern tools) using the Curt harness and just tied into the blue wire to activate. With them, the tag lights don't wash out the view anymore.
I've used Superstrut (Unistrut) in the past like what's in the below link. You can get it without the slots in the bottom and just drill your own holes for mounting. There's a multitude of connectors that fit it as well, which gives you lots of options. I did it on a Ram 2500 I had for under...
Those are exactly what I'm talking about. I was able to go out yesterday (cold n windy but...) and did a quick recon on the PDC. Fuse #52 is switched and is hot on Aux and Run modes. Guess I should have done that first. Thanks for the assist folks!
Had a 2018 Ram 2500, 6.4 Hemi, 10K suspension, 4x4, tow pkg...the works. Problem was, it rode like a tank (actually a tank likely rode smoother) and it was beating the wife up. That, and gas mileage was about 12 mpg max. Had been looking at the Gladiator's since they came out and wanted to give...
OK folks, I've looked all over and haven't found the answer. If no one here knows, I'll have to just start checking wires/circuits I guess. I haven't resorted to that yet, because I'm old/cranky and it's cold out...lol.
What I'm trying to do is this.
I want to find a switched circuit under the...
I've been thinking of putting a 5 lead relay in the circuit so that when the vehicle is in reverse the tag lights are disconnected. It'd be relatively simple. Tie the tag lights into the normally closed side of the relay, then use the reverse light circuit to open the relay when in reverse...
Just my 2cents. From my training in the military and current job regarding lube oil quality I'd say if you are going to change the filter change the oil as well. It's cheap insurance. Once broken in, I'd say let the truck's system tell you when it's time to change it. As I understand it, it will...
Is there any issue with programming the homelink buttons to run the relays? I'm assuming the relays don't use rolling codes. Also, does anyone know if it would be a good idea to put diode's on the power leads to prevent canbus issues?
Just had my JT sprayed with Line-X at $500. A friend went through the dealer and all they did was farm it out for install for $475. IMO mine looks better.
