Unless you have a big brake kit, a 17” spare wheel is the way to go. Cheap and plentiful. A half worn 35” tire good enough for a spare should be even easier to find.

I have a plug thAt requires a 9/16 Allen wrench to tighten. Problem is that when I had the covers powder coated they didn’t do a great job protecting the threads in the cover so I now can’t get the plug started into the bung

Truth. I have the new gear sitting in a box in my garage and now I cannot decide if I want to get it installed. I have the synergy brace also ready to install. I may just do the brace and see if there’s much improvement. I don’t think mine is horrible but if it was tighter that would be worthwhile.
