Can anyone that has this (or @ACE Engineering ;) ) possibly give me a few measurements please! I am fabricating an awning holder to work in tandem with a side opening RTT.
1. Measurement between the pre-drilled holes along the front and back perimeter rail.
2. Width between driver and...
I have been asking folks on the Jeep Gladiator facebook group also and so far this is the data I have gathered.
Seems to be related to manuals only
Issue reported on the 7" in a manual Sport (so its not just a 8.4" screen issue or Rubicon specific for that matter)
All automatic owners so far...
+1 to my conspiracy theory then LOL It does not make any sense limiting that feature just because of a manual and a 4k tow rating vs the 7650 or 7k depending on how its equipped and trim level for the max rating but it is a theory none the less.
Its like a non skid type surface. I suppose rubbery is a good way to put it but not soft rubber it is very tough and durable. It is textured and acts more like non skid or a very thick powder coating if you want to think of it that way. I have sprayed it on bumpers, steps, armor and it works...
I have the exact same issue with my Rubicon (also have tow package). The button is there in the top left corner but just gives me a little beep noise when I hit it and does not actually zoom in. Is your Jeep a manual by any chance? I had a theory that since mine is a manual with a tow package...
Just gonna say you nailed it, an overland without side steps subtracts value from what the overland comes standard with. I am not from up north but if I was I would venture to say anything that helps prevent salt and/or salt spray would be a huge value addition.
Thank you, and sure thing. I stored my hard top in it today while driving around for work stuff. I was not the easiest on it either. I was removing it solo so i slid it around the bed quite a bit and the liner was undamaged (top undamaged too) for what that is worth. I will throw an update...
RTTs are extremely easy and fast to fold away. They really do not make you immobile and most soft shell RTTs only weigh in around 125-175 pounds. You sleep in an elevated position which is just another bonus. Youtube some RTTs and you will see how easy various types are to deploy and pack up...
Thanks WhatExit, I found the thread "Best RTT for a JT" after searching Roofnest like you recommended. I like the RoofNest idea but man that price tag is way outside the realm for my needs. Thank you!
Curious if anyone is running a 3+ person rated RTT on a bed rack and if it hangs over? The only larger tent I have looked at was the Smittybilt XL and based on measurements it seems like it would hang over by almost a foot (off the rear, not the sides) even when butted up against the hard top...
Finished the second coat and tore down the masking, didnt want tape drying up in the edges. Cutting and sanding on the Jeep did not make me nervous, drilling did not make me nervous....but I was terrified while carefully removing the masking making sure it was not drooping on the exterior...
Just got the first coat applied and I am waiting the necessary 60 minute flash time before applying coat 2. It only took my 2 hours to mask, prep, clean, and spray the first coat. Here is what I did.
1. Put down frog tape to give myself visual borders and make sure I liked where I was...
Just a bunch of stick on stuff and officially tattooed her name on (hand cut it myself from a roll of black vinyl, wanted to check the look before paying a pro to machine cut it for me). Spraying Raptor in the bed this weekend.
If you are like me and had a Trail Dash 2 for your 3.6L JK/JKU and kept it, they can be transferred to the JT. I spoke with SuperChips technical support today and they said I will need to send them my ECU (cant swap it like you did for the JK) and they will reprogram it for $200. You also have...
I doubt this is doable because gear ratios in a manual likely cannot be altered digitally like some automatics can via the ECU but has anyone had success using tuners to modify the way a Gladiator eats up first gear? I do not know how you would accomplish this other than maybe slowing down the...
I have been searching the forum but cannot seem to find the info even though I know it is here somewhere, do you happen to know what model the JL/JT transmission is? Best I found so far was TR-6060 as listed on the MOPAR website but that does not seem right, and JEGS references that as a Chevy...
I have only ever owned manual transmissions in all my Wranglers for 20 years and now my new Gladiator with a 6 speed. I personally disagree with various reviews about it being "horrible"....of course I have bias sure, but I also know that a lot of those "bad" reviews are from editorials where...
