Battery Tender makes an adapter that plugs into the OBD2 port. My bumper is about 2" from the garage wall so it's exponentially easier than squeezing in that space to open the hood to unplug from the ring terminal adapter that comes with it.
The OBD port charging adapter has been the easiest for me. Prior to that I had the ring terminals and they were a pain to plug/unplug due to my front bumper being about 3" from the wall of the garage.
Also worth noting, if you press the lock button with your doors off it will also show Fob Not Detected and pushing the fob to the button will not work either. Supposed to be some kind of anti-theft measure. Hit the unlock button and your'e good to go.
