I have the Rusty’s sliders as well. Personally I bought them over the Shrockworks was the way they mounted to the frame as well.
The only negative thing I have to say about the Rusty’s sliders is that the front body mount on both sides didn’t line up. I ended up having to open the hole up with...
What settings will I loose by switching? The Heigh 10 will have the reverse camera and climate controls. As well as a bunch of other features that the IA radio has it seems.
It seems that the Insane Audio and Alpine unit both use the Idat-a Maestro for the canbus. I’m not sure what Stinger is...
Thanks for the information. I have decided after I bought the pac ch4 adapter that I’m going to install the Stinger Heigh10. Seems to be more of what I’m looking for in a touch screen.
I have a question for those who have the insane audio. Would you recommend this as an upgrade to someone putting a whole system in the Jeep? I have the 7” display but I’m putting in a JL vx1000/5i, Focal ps165f component speakers, and a Kicker 10” L7T in a Ground Shaker box. Just didn’t know if...
Looks like you bent the pinch seam inward. Any rail you buy that mounts to the pinch seam now is probably going to take some time bending that back to get it to fit.
I agree though that body armor panels will probably be the best for covering that up.
Yeah thanks. I removed the two bolts on the driver side with ease. The front bolt had a little red loctite. The middle bolt had a little blue. Went to install the rail and the front hole doesn’t line up. Have to stop by my work tonight to borrow a fluted carbide cutter for my air tool so I can...
Which bolts are the ones that have red loctite on them? Installing Rusty’s rails today and need if I need to apply some heat to any bolts before I snap something.
Also shout out to Rusty’s Off-road they put so much packing foam in the box. Almost impossible to damage the rails. Very impressed.
Had to return my N-Fab RKR step system. The driver side rail didn’t line up with the body holes. The powder coat was damaged but that wasn’t a big deal as a little paint fixed that. Unfortunately N-Fab didn’t want to make it right, but Quadratec stepped up and took care of it. I won’t make the...
I like the ace angle down but I’m looking for more of a step. The Rusty’s and Shrockworks fit that bill. Yes the Shrockworks pictures are awful. I didn’t know what they looked like until I saw another user post pictures.
Are there any real differences between the Rusty’s rock rail side steps and the Shrockworks sliders ? I know the Rusty’s require drilling into the frame but other than that they look very similar.
