  1. Isle_of_Man Build

Rock Rails Purchased as a Rubi take-off from a local member. The rails came with the many small pinch bolts, but I needed to get 8 body bolts and washers (M8, I think) from Lowes. At this point in the build, I had not yet ordered torque wrenches from Tekton, so on my list of things to do is...
  2. Isle_of_Man Build

    Day 0 of the build.
  3. Isle_of_Man Build

The Buying Process I'd needed a vehicle to satisfy my increasingly difficult-to-ignore desire to get off the beaten path and find some remote fishing/camping spots. I'd rented some Wranglers for light trails and really liked them. Also, I was coming from an IS350 and needed a truck for truck...
  4. Show me stubby bumpers options with skid plate

For anyone interested, there's a member on here who has a good youtube channel that shows install of the rr hd stubby.
  5. Show me stubby bumpers options with skid plate

Trekker fit is pretty much the same. I ran my cables at a hard angle passenger side then down and under to make room for a winch cover.
  6. Show me stubby bumpers options with skid plate

I got a good deal on a RR trekker 12500 winch from Morris4x4. As far as I know the winch plate that comes with the bumper has standard mounts, and is rated for 12k. I think the nicer winches are a little more compact based on the fact that I had a heck of a time finding a winch cover online...
  7. Show me stubby bumpers options with skid plate

Rugged ridge hd stubby, bull bar, and skid plate. The well for the winch was pretty tight.
  8. Teraflex 1.5" front Daystar 3/4" rear -- Fixing Geometries?

Hi guys, so I'm learning as I'm going on my first Jeep. I've got a Sport S non Max, and I've picked up some rubi takeoffs that I'd like to install along with the teraflex and daystar spacers. I've seen people say that spacers will throw off truck geometries (and other people say that the 1.5"...
  9. Buying advice.... New 2020 JT Rubicon with 800 miles

I bought mine used from carmax at 425 miles, I think the difference between new and used is entirely whether the vehicle has been registered before or not. New or used, the initial mfr warranty should apply. It seems like it's advantageous for the truck to be "new" because the three years of...
  10. Sport S non Towmax- rubicon suspension upgrade

Did you ever find out which spring goes on which corner?
  11. Longest Continuous Drive in Your JT?

Drove Albuquerque to Denver to pick up some rubi takeoffs and then back to Albuquerque on the same day. 15ish hours with stops, and it was a pleasant trip in the Gladiator. My ulterior motive was to put a lot of miles on the truck while it was still in carmax's 7 day full-refund-no-questions...
  12. Isle_of_Man Build

Hi all -- This is my first Jeep and my first vehicle of any sort that I bought with the intent to modify. We'll see how it goes. The utility the Gladiator offered was just what I'd been looking for, and so I have started down the path of building the Oreo Fishwagon. Purposes: 1. Daily driver...
  13. Intermittent Noise During Slow Braking - anti-rattle clips?

The rotors may be glazed. If they are, you could try getting them machined. I had this on a vehicle and nothing fixed the problem until I eventually replaced the rotors.
  14. New Mexico Rubicon stock rock rails

Hey man, I'm sorry there was another seller that got back to me first.
  15. A Used-New Gladiator

I'm in a similar position to OP right now. Does anyone have a decent guess about how this jeep was used based on the below history? The reports say it was a personal use vehicle, but the history doesn't look like normal personal use to me. Sport S with 7in Radio, Trailer Tow, Cold Weather...
  16. New Mexico

Hey guys, new to Jeeps and new to this forum. Are there any Albuquerque Jeep shops that you'd especially recommend? I'll need a pre-purchase inspection for a Gladiator I found on CarMax, and then I'll need a shop that can point me in the right direction on building a fishing wagon for remote...
