Prices go up every month, sometimes significantly. I was especially upset when MY22 launched and all that seemed to change was pricing, lol. Just look at the latest order guide, that's the only way to know.
My hypothesis - it's a tracker like @Wkyfiregladdy originally suggested. When they used the snap cal they unplugged it (accidentally or otherwise) and now it is slowly dying. This is why plugging or unplugging the snap cal has no effect - there is probably a loose harness hangin around down...
I would start with the carvana or carmax trade-in value and add however much money you think the effort/hassle a private party sale is worth to you. Good luck!
Weird, I got my Jeep Wave email this morning too! What's up with that timing for sending it to all of us? Mine says week of 2/9 for what that's worth. 10 days later than Jeep Chat said, and odd considering it was 'in transit' this week. Hoping Gupton can provide some accurate timing this week.
Just for context, I ordered a pretty nice color-matched ARE CX Classic for $2,800 all in. I would have only considered something not custom fit if it cost less than half of that.
I had a VIN assigned almost instantaneously. If they can't provide a VON or VIN I would assume incompetence / they haven't actually ordered it yet. Once you have either of those numbers you'll be able to get updates directly from Jeep Chat on build status.
lol I mean the ordering system is...
That sounds inaccurate. If you have a VIN then the price is essentially set. As to the Gupton quote above, he's saying that if a price increase happens between the time you contact them and the time you pay a deposit you're screwed, but after the deposit and order confirmation your price should...
Thanks for the intel. Yeah he's usually pretty responsive so I was surprised. I have a lot of things I have to coordinate to get down there for delivery anyhow so I won't panic until my status says 'delivered' if I still haven't heard anything.
Wait - so are they saying they'll treat you worse if you buy somewhere else but then pay them to do any service/maintenance? That sounds horrible. Although - I made a point not to bother/complain too loudly to anyone local on price just because I don't want them salty when I come in for service...
lol more than half of my house payment goes to property taxes. So while I see the appeal in principal (oo pun!), it sucks to know I can't get rid of most of that payment anyways.
