Added rain guards. I'm one of those drivers that likes to have my windows open just a bit. Past vehicles always had the type of rain guards that got stuck to the door frame over the windows. My current Gladiator has a wrap, and I didn't want to stick anything to that. These in-channel rain...
Two questions:
a) Might be kind of soon to ask if you haven't had a chance to experience a heavy rainfall yet; how weather proof/resistant is it?
b) Is there some sort of strap or other mechanism to close it once the panel is opened?
It was a toss up for me as well on the 4.88s vs 5.13s. I ended up with the 4.88s and have been happy with that decision. The top 3 factors which pushed me to the 4.88s:
a) I don't tow
b) my off roading would be categorized as weekend warrior
c) considering the mileage vs torque tradeoff
I'll...
I'm averaging 16.0 mpg.
Specs: 37s, 4.88s, manual transmission, Tazer used for tire size and gears, 90% city driving
Had 4.10s before regearing; was hoping for better after regearing, guess not. At least my "mythical" 6th gear actually sees some use with the power differential. :)
Piping in here to bring the Tazer Mini topic back to the top of the list.
In summary:
- I have a manual 2020 Rubicon on 37s with the stock 4.10s.
- Had it re-geared this week to 4.88s, no change in tire size.
- errors popped up immediately with 1) ESS, 2) ACC, 3) the selected gear (that...
They fit. If you flip back a couple of pages to 1641, I posted a pic with the panels on. I have Hothead Headliners installed on my Gladiator, from the "top of the handle to the bottom of the headliner is about 1.5". Figure it would be 2" if the headliner wasn't there."
As far as I can tell, they run perpendicular (i.e. neither tilted up or down). I went and took another pic with the Freedom panel on; from the top of the handle to the bottom of the headliner is about 1.5". Figure it would be 2" if the headliner wasn't there. Hope it helps.
I'm happy with them.
a) They don't hang like fabric ones that you have to dodge when getting in and out of the vehicle.
b) They are solid, I can rock the entire Gladiator side to side with no wobble from the handle.
c) They use existing holes in the frame (I did use a couple of rubber washers I...
I know it's pie-in-the-sky thinking; saying it anyways... it would be nice if they gave a dollar figure on on their replacement clutch with the option of showing proof of replacement (i.e. I'd take that option and pay the extra to upgrade to a centerforce clutch).
I have a MT and am considering options on reducing the spongy feeling when stepping on the accelerator. That you have a MT and the pedal commander, is it your thought that the pedal commander made an appreciable difference?
