So I have been running the CTEK. I got up to float after a day or so. Checked today and I am back in bulk. Vehicle hasn't been driven or disconnected from the maintainer.
This leads me to believe that maybe I have parasitic draw? I know these cars generally are pulling power all the time...
So I have a 2020, that is not driven much and tend to keep it on a tender when I remember to plug it in.
I use a Noco Genius 5. I have it wired into the positive battery mounting points and the negative on the nut right near the IBS, not on the negative post itself as recommended.
New...
Do you recall what the exact message was? Mine is showing "Driver seatbelt retractor pretensioner deployment control wires shorted together". My orange plug was off too, but notice one of the little legs is broken off. It's just a retainer and it holds the connector in place, but I still...
Last week I installed RSE rock sliders/steps. I had the B pillar panels off and the sill plates to run the harness. Nothing major at all with wiring. Button everything up and go to start. I get the Service Airbag system message. Used AlfaOBD to get the exact location which is in the...
I am in the progress of installing these. Just calibrated them. the passenger side almost sags a bit, like there isn't enough tension on the spring to hold them tight against the housing when closed. I can push on the steps with my hand and move them a bit when closed. The driver side is nice...
So my Jeep sits alot. It's a 2020 and I have just over 11k. It's my fun/hobby car so I learned with these situations to use a good battery tender. I have one installed as I always have on other cars simply on battery neg and positive and away we go.
I know the aux battery is probably dying...
Hey all, just stumbled on this as my JT has done it since day one (2020 with just about 7,500 on it).
I added a pedal commander and noticed the noise got louder. Started really trying to find out what the issue is and this all makes sense now.
So a bit ago my tender shows full charge. The aux switches do not come on. When started it shows aux battery charging aux switches disabled. I know if I let it run for a bit it will let the switches work. The Jeep is not driven much at all. 7k miles in about 3 years. Have dealt with this...
Conflicting info I am seeing. Some say you can’t tend just the main battery as it won’t charge the aux. which is what I have been seeing since I started using a fender. Mine is wired to the main batteries positive and negative posts.
I tried connecting my tender to N1 and negative of main battery. Tender thinks it’s charged. Reading voltage of 13.40 main battery is around the same and if I move tender to that it tops it off in seconds. N1 I know goes to aux battery per the fuse panel. Something still doesn’t seem quite...
Old topic I know..but I am looking for a way to do this. My JT is going to be inside in a huge indoor car show in Cincinnati this coming week. Cars are required to have batteries disconnected and use a power inverter for power (I have done this for years on other cars - so no need to post...
I noticed that pelican mount. I did notice they have a side mount as well. Universal. https://www.pelican.com/us/en/accessory/cases/side-mount--universal-/SIDEMT001A
That might work for a smaller box. Only drawback is the exposed cable etc that could be cut.
So my JT is not driven a ton, but I need some storage ideas for the bed. I had the factory tonneau on since I got it. Recently upgraded to 37s with a DV8 spare tire carrier and quickly realized I have no waterproof storage now.
I did have a swing line case, but that interferes with the spare...
I had my JT Rubicon in an indoor car show here in Cincinnati (Cavalcade of Customs). A local reputable 4x4 shop had a few JLS and JTs on display with these exact conversions. Right at 37-38k. My JT is almost 2 years old and I dont even have 7k on the clock (all options except painted...
Just searching around the forums and came across this. I did the knee panel upgrade with the JL C2 650x. C2 350x in the dash and C2 650x in the sound bar. Also did a stealth box all powered by a vx1000/5i amp. The knee panels required me taking apart..the entire damn dash. I have some...
