Guys. I need some help here. Been fighting the rears for two hours. Should nit be this hard at all. My rear latch is about an inch to low no matter what I do. Can someone tell me If the front Aand rear latches are the same. I’m wondering if I didn’t get the correct latches in the box for my...
So I hardly ever go off road..just in rather tame gravel trails (smokeys). I do want to add some lighting in the event I do need it.
I like the look of the radiance pods, (amber backlight) as I just love accent lighting. When the time comes, will they be right enough? I know there are lots...
One thing guardian does give you that is handy, is that you get a weather map on your screen. I know we can all get that via phone, but when was in the mountains in TN in the summer, this came in handy when there was no cell service.
I dont drive my JT much at at all (under 5k in 11 months...
Turns out the harness APH-Ch03 is made for the gladiator. Not the 01. If you look at the included harnesses it matches the 3 on the premium
Alpine amp. On its way from crutchfield.
So we are at a bit stuck. Upgraded all spakers and have installed the PAC AP4-CH41 R2. I am going to use a 5 channel amp to power the speakers and newly added subs,
I have the premium audio already, and bought the APH-CH01 harness to tap into the existing factory wiring, yet we can’t quite...
For those that upgraded the entire system, (with factory amp), I am running into an issue with the APH CH01 hardness add on. Has anyone actually used this? We are having some issues trying to trace wires using the old school way of a 9v battery and the pop sound method. We want to use the...
So you guys who upgraded your kick panels to 6 inch with the metra pods. What did you do with the oem trim panel? The perforated area is only as big as the stock speaker. I would think the panel would block sound. I am in the middle of this project now and just realized the perforated area...
I’m sticking with the 8.4 and the pac adapter. Yeah that fuse mount is the only missing part for me. I did get the under seat amp rack too. Not sure if I want to drill into the box to mount th amp.
I have not. I have the C2 3.5 for the front and C2 6.5 for kick and sound bar. I felt I didnt cheap out on this system, but damn I could not justify 500 or so a speaker (C7). Regardless, our systems will sound great.
I did get the blue tooth controller and digital audio knob as well. Still...
So I just got a call from Crutchfield that they are cancelling all Stealthbox orders per JL's request.
I was told they simply cant source the parts (which no clue what that means...the subs? the fiberglass box?", the carpet?) and that resellers are to cancel the order.
That F-ing sucks. It...
My only reason for disabling the factory halo is that they are on all the time when the car is on. I would think the OEM halo white light would interfere with the way the stick on halos would look..
Firstly I do not want to crack the headlight casing to add new internal halos. I have had experience with the cases never being fully sealed again no matter what you do and it gets moisture or leaks.
Oracle appears to make a great quality exterior stick on halo, but one would need to disable...
So after tons of research I think this is the direction I am headed:
I have the 8.4 premium system right now.
I will use a Pac AMPpro AP4-CH41 with APH-CH01 harness to integrate.
Subs: JL stealthbox
Amp: JL VX100/5i amp
JL under seat amp rack and JL jeep specific fuse holder
Front dash...
Thanks for the input. I am already looking at 3k in parts and that doesn't include any sound bar or front speakers.. Dont think I can justify the DS10 as well.
That being said, what amps are you powering your system with?
That amp is cream of the crop..but the add ons are killer. 99 for the bluetooth connectivity..another 100 for the remote volume knob (as I dont want to fool with the app while driving). Still worth it though.
Where did you mount the amp? It looks like one will fit on the box itself, but from pics it seems it would hit the seat. I am thinking maybe the JL under seat amp rack..
I know I am going to use adapters to upgrade to 6.5 in the sound bar and kick panels.
It looks like BRP audio makes a nice pre-fab box for 10s that bolt to the floor, but you lose the under seat storage.. not a huge deal breaker if I can find a nice small box to mount inside the bed...
