  1. Rubicon vs Overland vs Mojave

I would get a Mojave. Because I live near sand and dunes. Best for my purpose. I like the purpose of the suspension and rear locker on 4H. Overland would be my second choice for luxury and comfort. Just as capable in most offroad conditions. Best of both worlds. Rubicon would be my last option...
  2. Sport vs Sport S - Which did I buy?!

Not really, because you can add a 7" or 8" stereo on yours pretty easily. It's a straight forward swap. You can also swap out your headlights with OEM ones or Oracle LED headlights. You can also add passive entry to yours as well. You have access to all that info on the forum. You can do all of...
  3. Sport vs Sport S - Which did I buy?!

I had a manual Wrangler JLU with the anti-spin diff option. I never came close to getting stuck. Only time I got stuck was in sand because I slowed down and it was too steep. I would have been stuck with anything. I still managed to get myself unstuck on my own. Maybe even a Mojave unless I went...
  4. Sport vs Sport S - Which did I buy?!

What do you want to upgrade to? Your only options are a Mojave or Rubicon really. Mojave for sand and Rubicon for rocks / lockers. Yours is well equipped and pretty much the highest trim as far as the Sport trims. I wouldn't trade. IMO
  5. Hinge Corrosion

Thanks for the input. I already searched for it without success, but if you can provide the link. That would be more helpful.
  6. Hinge Corrosion

I am new to a Gladiator coming from a Wrangler. Corrosion between the hinges and the doors was becoming a huge issue with my Wrangler. A few months after a year of ownership corrosion started to form on my hood and all of the doors. My hood hinges were visibly chipping and the doors were getting...
  7. Do you wave at another Jeep?

Ive been thinking about scooping those up, but I chose a 12 day road trip in Mexico. haha. Got to recover after dropping 3k.
  8. Tailgate material?

Wranglers use magnesium for their tailgates.
  9. Do you wave at another Jeep?

People used to wave at me in the Wrangler. People don't wave at me anymore in the Gladiator. Now I just feel stupid when I wave and nobody waves back.
  10. My jeep smells like cheap hookers and beer, please send help!!

Get your interior shampoo and dried. I used a Citrus Magic Odor Absorber under the seats and I spray Ozium Odor Neutralizer spray on seats and carpet. This has 100% worked for me. The odor absorbers are for closets or closed spaces. I would be extremely surprised if it didnt work. It has...
  11. Urea smell

It's probably the cabin air filter behind the glove box. It's in the user manual.
  12. I’m calling BULL

Maybe the two Jeeps I've owned are either broken, but I can't break 20mpg unless I'm going 55mph, cruise control, and flat land. I've owned both a Manual Sport JLU and a 8 speed Sport Willys JT. My JT is a completely stock Willys and I don't drive it hard. I just drive normal. I get 18mpg on...
  13. I’m calling BULL

So what you're saying is... No MPG difference or? It will take a hit in MPG. 15-25%+ is quite a bit in my opinion, but that's why it's an opinion. This is from personal experience w/ 35s and lift.
  14. This is why I lease

OP Said: "in the end I never hold onto a vehicle until the end of term" You can also do a trade in. You will receive the benefits of positive equity, like the op. You also avoid paying the taxes on 40k+. You only pay for the taxes on the leased amount instead of the entire cost of the vehicle...
  15. Gladiator is broke

I'm sure dealing with FCA / Stellantis is frustrating. The dealerships / techs / advisers I've dealt with are terrible. But I will tell you. At least they pretend to care. I had a Chevy Corvette and GM didn't give a single F about it's customers. I'm talking major safety problems. Notorious...
  16. This is why I lease

It doesn't matter if you trade it in or buyout. You only get penalized for miles, condition, or mods if you turn it in at the end of your lease term.
  17. I’m calling BULL

If you have a Rubicon / Mojave, the 4.10 gears will help it. The Sport will be a dog and bad on gas. You also have to recalibrate the trans shift points on the auto or it will constantly shift in and out of gears. If you have a manual, it feels even slower.
  18. Positives and Negatives of buying a new 2020 JTR

Residual values are expected estimates for leases. We don't know the true value of a Gladiator. It hasn't been out long enough and then Covid happened. Residuals are a good "guess" on future market value.
  19. Positives and Negatives of buying a new 2020 JTR

Gotta be realistic. Jeep Wranglers only depreciate about 30-35% after 3 years "used" normal market. The Gladiator is too new, but probably about the same. It's still new and only a year old.
  20. Positives and Negatives of buying a new 2020 JTR

Once the 2022 is out. They should at least give you a minimum of 15% off. Depreciation.
