I haven’t noticed any collection issues on the diesel or my gas JT. I think the silicone in that one corner would easily eliminate any concerns you may have
No issues on our diesel. Alumibob and yes your engine gets wet just driving in the rain as well. Also I checked and it’s just to the side of the alternator but if you were still concerned then just seal up that one corner with some silicone so it would force it to drain out the other side.
The tray is below the vents so there is a gap for the heat to escape. The trays are there to divert the water and not store it. At each corner where the two sides fold up and meet is where the water can drain out of.
The attached photo is on a ON rubicon hood but shows how it works.

I thought I would share some of the photos from our trip to Easter Jeep Safari this year! It was such a blast and I’m looking forward to all of the rides and events we have planned this year! Absolutely love wheeling the bobbed gladiator as it is so stable with the longer wheel base and the...
If it is body mounted and you are dropping down hard on any rocker I wouldn’t trust them to hold up. The rocker itself will probably hold but the body will not. If you drive the front tire up and over a rock and then come down off of it and drop onto a rock on the rocker it will buckle the...
