Word of warning if you're running JK wheels. While a matching JT or JL wheel will work as a spare, a JK wheel won't. The pop out center on a JK wheel is smaller and and the spare tire bracket won't fit through.

You can retrieve the PIN and program a key using JScan. But again, you have to have a working key to turn the Jeep on to get this information.

If you did not have a working key with you, the Ace machine would not work as I understand it. To program a key, you need a PIN. You can get the PIN from the dealer, but it can also be read from the vehicle, but the vehicle ignition must be on to read that PIN.
