Okay, so I’m looking at the Chevy Colorado cover that others are using and there is also a Tacoma cover too! Both are less expensive than some other options.
1.) Who has what?
2.) How’s the fit with the trail rails?
3.) Does either of the two provide brackets for us that have the trail rails...
They did adjust toe. The steering wheel is not straight. When I hold it straight from a stop and drive forward the truck drifts right? On the road/highway I’m driving straight be the steering shell is at a quarter turn to the left. If I left the wheel go the jeeps drifts right in about 2...
I centered the axle with the track bar, it’s adjustable. I used the shock tower mount to edge of tire tread on each side after adjustment they were within about and 1/8 of inch. Then use steering pinion thing? Loosened bracket and turned it til the wheel was set right at 9 and 3, straight. If I...
Check this out! I found that I had to center my front axle by 1/2 inch. MC game changer 2.5, started either my quick disconnects being at too much of angle! Anyway, that was resolved. Drove the keep after axle centering, straightened steering wheel. Drove just fine!
As one does, took it to check...
I did it! Went 1/2 inch shorter and it is pretty damn straight. I left the Quick Disco pin on the outside and really had to shorten the Link. About the same as driver side. I can take the disco off by hand. Still have to push it on with a lever but I can live with it. Got the steering wheel...
Just measured from a common point on the frame to the outside of the tire. Driver side = 19.75 Passenger side = 21.0 it is 1.25 inches more on the passenger side! Soooo, to center the axle do I shorten the track bar by 1.25 or divide that by 2 so they are equal left and right? Never attempted...
When I go to shorten the track bar I assume I will need alignment after? Also I have read I will need to get the steering wheel straight too! That’s a drag link adjustment after getting the axle centered. So when I go to measure and say the passenger side is an inch out, do I shorten it a half...
