I love them! Mine are the Gen 2 steps. I’ve had them for over two years - actually bought them before my gladiator was delivered. The biggest pain is bolting them on - you have to loosen the body bolts. One of my gladiator’s body bolts seized and I had to get someone to professionally remove...
I went last year to the one just west of Austin. It was a good introduction do our jeeps’ capabilities. They provided food, instruction, and access to trails I wouldn’t have otherwise (private land). I think it was a good price, but even at $500, it’s not bad as they describe all of the...
While I have your attention, my BB 100 AH battery fails to survive the night before the ARB disconnects to protect the battery. I have the battery protect set to medium and the temp set to 36*F. Any idea if this is normal? I thought 100 AH would last longer.
you’re right. It’s not intended for lithium.
“1. Only use the Battery Isolator for charging Standard Automotive Lead Acid, Calcium Content, Gel, AGM, SLI or Deep Cycle type batteries.”
thanks for that!
Damn! You know, I think I remember knowing this years ago and forgot that you can’t put two batteries of different chemistries. Yep the BB battery is LiFePo.
I guess I need to get a dc/dc charger. I’m thinking of saving up for the manager anyway, but now I have reasons.
As the subject says, I have an REDARC SBI212 (not the D - dual sensing version). I bought it several months ago, but procrastinated on the install until last weekend. I followed the installation instructions and put the 40 amp fuse in-line between the starter battery and the SBI. The SBI is...
+5 for Thorne. I think the Amazon mirrors were for the JK. Thorne’s adaptors for the JT are very good quality and easy to use.
I had a Furrion camera system on my trailer. It worked ok, and was better than nothing
What about the MT versions?
update… it looks like most of the sale ones are AT tires. They don’t have any 35”s for 17” wheels… at least not here they don’t.
That’s great! I was looking to see if the Fox 2.5 elite adjustable reservoir shocks in 3.5”+ have the same or shorter compressed length. I wanted to know if I could replace the shocks first, then upgrade the lift to 3.5” later.
It looks like with the Fox 2.5s I’m looking at, I can do exactly...
Ok, then let’s punt. Does anyone have the performance characteristics of the MOPAR FOX shock in the 2” lift? Most importantly, I’m looking for compressed length and extended length. And between the two compressed length is more important.
Does anyone have that info?
I’m looking for the performance specs for the Fox shocks in the MOPAR 2” lift. Are these them:
https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/shocks/985-24-220-fox-performance-series-2-0-smooth-body-shock-rear-2in-3in-lift
If not, can one of you provide the link to what is in the lift kit? I’m just...
Well, good luck with your new truck! When the downsides of gladiator ownership outweigh the upsides, I will probably go F-150 too. That’s what I had before I bought the gladiator, and my local Ford dealership is top notch.
Just thinking out loud… we all know that gearing multiplies torque, right?
Well how much rear wheel torque does the 3.6L Pentastar make, and how much does the 3.0L diesel make, both in 6th gear (I believe 6th gear is 1:1 for both automatic transmissions).
I’m curious how close the 3.6L comes...
Yeah, the first year issues are not a thing for the ecodiesel Gladiator... it was in the wrangler for a year or two prior to the gladiator. Unless you’re talking about the gen3 aspect of it. Even then, mine derated doing the speed limit between Amarillo and Lubbock… not towing. The engine has...
