Well this is frustrating. I ended up taking it to a shop for alignment and for them to fix the sway bar links. Turns out the nuts I was supposed to use had slightly wrong pitch and it cross threaded one link. They pulled them both off and said all they can do.
Grabbed a new link from the...
At it again this morning and these are turning, but super tight for even the slightest gain. Even using a pipe for leverage, these are insane to tighten. Did anyone else have trouble with them or is this not normal?
Oh, would you look at that, an allen keyway...
Well, that explains that lol. No idea how I didn't notice it. Now I just hope I didn't screw anything up by popping that ring off.
Sounds like a problem for tomorrow.
Thanks, guys!
Installing the Mopar lift today and the sway bar links don't have a nut or anything to help hold it while you wrench it tight. Previously used MetalCloak on my JKU and they had a nut to grip. Maybe I'm missing something, but how in the world is this supposed to tighten?
This has some sort of...
TLDR this week:
Installed Viofo A129 Plus Duo
Installed Tazer
Calibrated new tires. 33.8 was spot on for 285/75/17 Toyo OC III
Installed front camera
Put Salta XR + Tires on
Rugged Ridge Sill protectors
Installed Quadratec Dead Pedal
More pics and commentary on my build thread.
1,000-mile update.
Tires came in very quickly thanks to @Discount Tire, but I had to hold off on the lift until the wheels came in. I decided on the Saltas and ordered them through Quadratec. Disappointedly hit some snags with what their site actually had in stock though and ended up canceling...
Like when you sign up for it the day you place your order, but then your truck is somehow ready 18 days later and you have to wait weeks to pick it up.
RIP.
@chorky Gupton isn't the only forum dealer. I'm sure you can find one closer than a 5-day drive and it's absolutely worth it. All of the...
Going to sum up my experience with Northridge today, but first want to set the stage.
Last month I ordered AEV wheels from a larger vendor because the website said they were in stock. I have everything else ready for my build, but was waiting for the wheels to ship before lifting so I'm not...
I had their Heated LED headlights for my JKU. One of them had a faulty anti-flicker after I installed them. I emailed Rob and they had a brand new set at my door in no time.
The issue with their site showing items in stock when they are actually back-ordered is frustrating though. Having to...
The fronts were throwing me an error, too. I reached out and they said it's just because they don't have a 2022 Sport S to test the fronts on yet. I went ahead and ordered them since there shouldn't be any fender change from 21 to 22. Really wish they had some rears for MT though!
Today I came...
I ended up ordering through Quadratec since I plan on selling the stock wheels. Although I probably should have just transferred them over.
Quadratec's shop wasn't wrong. They actually shipped out this morning even though I'm still waiting on a bunch of other stuff from them.
Weathertech's response:
Thank you for your interest in WeatherTech! We do not currently offer MudFlaps for the 2022 Jeep Gladiator Sport because we have not been able to locate and test fit this vehicle yet. It looks like it is likely a carry-over model from 2021. Once we are able to locate a...
I ordered them from Quadratec but don't have any faith that they're actually in stock. I'll be happily proven wrong though. I haven't seen any tracking for other order through them last week yet either.
Unfortunately, none of the dealers around here had them either and all confirmed what Benny...
