Bought this as part of our build out and decided against using it. Link to more info in the AluCab Canopy forum. Could also consider trading for something else useful or fun for our JTR like a kitchen slide...
We bought an Alu Cab internal storage rack but have decided to go another route for our storage. It’s in the box with all hardware. Never installed. Paid $370 for it. Could sell for $325 locally or ship passing on the shipping cost. Second photo is so you know I’m a real human with a Jeep and an...
It is standard m8 hardware you can buy on Amazon or any hardware store. If you have an industrial place around like fastenalnthey carry more unique m8 size hardware like clips, rings, etc.
The bin setup works fine and is easy to load and unload before and after trips. I’m going to try a kitchen pull out though to see if I can get rid of some bin stacking and unstacking just to make coffee or a hot lunch.
The back door flips up well past 90 degrees and you should be able to fit big items by leaving it open. I carry mountain bikes hanging front wheel out on the tailgate sometimes and just leave the hatch open. I don’t think there is a quick remove method for the back door.
Vented and cooled seats. I think that’s the only luxurious option we don’t have and it’s so practical; a great way to combat the hot cabin when you first get into the truck in the summer.
You’ve got me there big time. Lol. I was going for the sentiment more than the true comparison. More accurate may be “I’ve never made a help me fix my Jeep post”. ? My Toyotas have been for around 200k of hard use…no comparison yet.
I’m curious if there is any community observations on this or data somewhere. I think that the 2020 models built in 2019 were built with pride and without COVID supply shortages and human capital issues.
Get the adaptive cruise control to lower fatigue and improve safety on long hwy drives. It’s incredible the difference it makes at the end of a long day. Comfort is quite good all day but if you want the best comfort get a current gen land cruiser.
$375. Not one of the cheap (easily broken) knock offs out there. Excellent condition with mounting hardware. Doesn’t require the trails to mount it and could also be installed on top of trail rails if you have them in the bed already. Removed last weekend to put a camper in its place. Tonneau cover.
I’ve a question for this awesome thread now that I am picking up an AEV high capacity RT lift next week. Is an adjustable track bar necessary for the JTR? AEV instructions say it’s not due to geometry correction brackets, etc. I’m currently all stock. Planning on this kit and 35” tires.
I think the best thing about Jeep is the ability to get the trim and options that suit your needs. I don’t think you save much money trying to add options to lower trims to get close to a higher trim. They did a pretty good job of pricing trim and options in my opinion. Just decide what you will...
I've seen some good examples of wiring for the canopy brake light but none yet for wiring the internal LEDs. Where are you guys running wires for the internal LED? I'm thinking to wire it to one of the factory Aux switches. I bought a Alu-Cab canopy from Asheville Vehicle Outfitters and will...
