Consider hunting for used 35” and selling your 33” while they have good life in them. I found someone with a single oil change on his 35” for sale bc he wanted 37”. I’m Selling my half life tires for $350 and bought the near new ones for $1,000.

So as proud as I am though I managed to get through a very muddy tight spot without needing any body work…I snapped off the tail light. It seems only the bracket is broke. Is this an obtainable part? The little plastic clip that screws in to the light and the truck bed?
Thanks for the detailed reply! #5 is pretty important I think. I’ve almost made the kids run their own ground tent so I can get the GFC camper to support their business model/ethic.
What made you decide to get a GFC over the rsi or an alucab canopy? I’ve the Alu cab canopy and love it. We mount an ikamper on top for family camping. If it were just my wife and I I’d have gone the GFC camper with tent integrated for the lower height of the tents weight. My tent and canopy...
I would buy the ranger in that scenario except for how much more I like the Jeep interior. The current ranger is a long standing drivetrain proven in Australia and the turbo motor has good report in sand. The Jeep will be slower and less nimble but still fun and has the cool factor. I don’t...
Rubicon does the added utility and strength unless it has been abused off road. Check the undercarriage for scrapes and dents. If you do resell one day, I have noticed with the older wranglers that the rubicon package seems to hold its value better than others. Same will likely be true when the...
If you don’t need the truck right away I would wait. My opinion is that there will be a larger excess supply in another 60 days and dealers will start facing reality. They are already paying lower prices at auction I believe.
I’ve a lot of towing experience with everything from old ford rangers to modern 1 tons and class b work trucks. I agree with all the guys who suggesting you go with a smaller camper for a better and safer experience.
If Toyota released an electric Tacoma with even 250 miles of range I’d be all over it. Not as a JT replacement but an every day and weekend adventure truck…to bike and hike trailheads. Too bad there aren’t enough mines running to support the batteries needed if such a popular vehicle went electric.
The lockers on my rubicon only get occasional use…the sway bar disconnect, skid plates, rock rails, and steel rear bumper on the other hand…those get used pretty much everyday when we are off road. Still stock height and tires but it goes many places as is and I assume when we get the lift and...
If we didn’t have two kids to take with us I would have the GFC because it’s so good for daily, lighter and low for hard off-roading, and minimal compromise for travel (those cross bars everywhere seem silly after having the Alucab but not a big deal). With two kids we have the canopy and an...
Yeah. I’d say going from the luxury of your current rigs you will want the cold weather package. I love it in mine…in the south the remote start also means a cool temp in the truck after the thin hardtop has been baking in the sun.
One more note…on resale instead of performance, my opinion is that a fairly stock rubicon will retain value better than a sport s with a bunch of mods. It’s hard to get your money back on mods when selling. Okay one last performance thing, the sway bar disconnect makes rough trails a good deal...
When I bought our gently used 2020 the options seemed to be a sport max tow with minimal options for around 46 or a very loaded rubicon for 51. We’ve used the slower low gear ratio a ton and the lockers some. Do a good bit of looking at the options and be honest about what you will do with the...
Looks great! I have the same AEV kit waiting to go on when I have time. Have you noticed any change in articulation? I’ve head the stiff springs can affect articulation but not heard real world experience.
