This is how I think of it as well. Plus, the extra hassle of trying to sell the vehicle myself, no matter how well I keep my stuff. Lots of folks use in house financing that won't go to their own bank or credit union.
It could be a real killer for dealers (and us) if state laws change and no...
Agreed. I never sell privately and always trade-in. Wanting to point that out to others reading as some dealers might use that to their advantage and possibly tweak the trade appraisal numbers. "Gee, your trade-in has no maintenance history-it will be harder for us to sell". Some can be real...
I created a Jeep journal that I record all maintenance with dates, mileages, part numbers and oil type that I used along with the purchase receipts. All aftermarket add-ons also included.
Of course, all other paperwork goes in including dealer service records and even the paperwork when I...
There seems to be some misconceptions about the Jeep 3/36 warranty coverage.
Jeep will not turn down warranty service (if needed) just because the oil has been changed outside the dealership in his or her garage and the Jeep Wave freebies were unused.
Some may have been scared into this...
'22 Mojave. Stock size 33" tires. Stock suspension height. I drive pretty conservative with an occasional snort to merge into traffic. Best I have ever seen is 17.1 mpg with summer fuel in the warm months. Rarely above 14 mpg in winter. The nature of the beast.
If this spreads across U.S. built vehicles, one can certainly imagine that the public push back will be extreme enough that the auto manufacturers will need to take a step back and rethink their corporate greed. Then hopefully lawmakers get involved and end it for good.
I get an almost constant IR signal jam when parked at my workplace. Inconsistent remote starting has been an issue for many other employees as well. It is a huge parking lot, so we move around to different spots to make our remotes work a little better.
Everyone says that once they leave the...
Retired from 30 years in the dealership business, I hate to admit that this is the way things are done. High priority is placed on units and maintenance sold at that particular dealer. The others come later. They are in control and even Jeep itself can't speed up the process. It doesn't...
I hope with a new generation Wrangler and/or Gladiator (I guess they won't be a JL or JT) it will bring the Hurricane I6. Hopefully by then they will get any initial engine bugs out. ;)
Edit: But this doesn't mean that there won't be the next generation of JL's and JT's that are offered in both 4xe and ICE choices. I don't necessarily think that it is the death blow to the Gladiator.
But no doubt, by the end of 2025 the platform will be updated.
I didn't get this feeling at all. IMO it was a long-winded press conference with nothing new to offer other than another anniversary trim package for the JL line.
In recent interviews with Mopar execs, they have stated that there will continue to be ICE choices across all lines. The big EV...
I would keep shopping. Plenty of used JT's out there. Look for a lower mileage unit.
As far as pricing trends go, you are correct. Timing is on your side. Trade-in prices for JT's are trending sharply downward compared to highs last summer and the market is starting to return to normal...
