Makes sense to me. They have already spent the money to develop the chassis. Not a lot of extra money to turn it into a truck. The Ranger is a bit of a sales flop so a “lifestyle” vehicle may pump some life into that segment for them.
The main difference in flex will be the swaybar disconnect. Other than that, they are very similar. That is an easy fix with quick disconnects.
Agree that it will be a compromise to change anything on the suspension I just want to maximize what is there. I am thinking of doing the inner...
Mostly agree with what you said. It would be nice if someone would throw 37s on a Mojave and flex it out, then come up with a bump stop/spacer kit that would allow for full flex on 37s and minimal lift.
So basically, utilize the awesome factory suspension to its fullest with decent sized...
Meh, pretty much every modern car sold is capable of driving with only stops for fuel. A few need oil or DEF added.
I did meet two guys in a nicely built (tons, King Shocks, bead lockers...) Gladiator from Pennsylvania a few days ago. They had driven here (Utah) and were heading to the...
I'll bet they are peddling as fast as they can to get it to market in time to stop a few Bronco orders...
I'd seriously think about trading in the Mojave on a Max Tow Hemi if they make that available.
Just throwing in my $.02. I used to work at a place that built Cobra replicas. Most of our cars went out the door with Wilwood brakes. All of them except those that went out with the original style Girling calipers. Anyway, we sold one of our cars to an engineer who worked at Wilwood...
Haha. That isn't where I got it from, but VERY close. I used to work at a place that made Cobra replicas and we actually did that to watch some airflow into the hood scoop after we made some changes to the filter and air intake pan (Turkey Pan).
We got to work on Pete Brock's car a few...
One dealer I talked to said he would give me order updates about every two weeks. The other dealer said he would give me updates once a week till it got built and then daily updates as it made its way across the country. I believe they have access if they know where to look. I watched a...
For the OP, keep what you have and keep going. I debated for a long time between the Mojave and Rubicon. Same price but they are willing to deal more on the Rubicon. In the end, orange is far superior to red every time.
I put an e-locker in my JK rear and ran the TrueTrack in the front.
TrueTrack is better at reacting to loss of traction than a clutch type limited slip. It will not work when one wheel is off the ground, but, as others have pointed out, the BLD will kick in and grab your brake and that will...
15 psi makes for a way better ride over anything rougher than a flat and smooth dirt road. Don’t need bead locks at that pressure. You will likely get decent sidewall flex that will help with traction.
If I’m on a wheeling trip like in Moab, I will leave it at that pressure and drive on the...
Someone in another thread posted this setup done by Lexington Lifted and posted on their FB page. It is a ReadyLift kit. I assume their 2.5" SST spacer kit with shock brackets. ReadyLift is working on specific shock brackets that will work better.
