I did the same thing unloading my dual sport from the trailer but mine is so small you can hardly see it.
I didn't latch the ball and when I got the MC to the gate the tongue lifted up and the trailer rolled into the tailgate with me standing at the back of the trailer. I knew that if I stepped...
Today I dodged a "bullet" of sorts.
Driving to work on the freeway the dually in front of me ran over a trailer hitch ball mount and flipped it up in the air heading straight for my passenger side windshield. 😳
I swerved to the left and missed it. That thing would have done some severe damage...
For the location on mine there is a hole in the frame above and a little bit aft of where I needed it that is big enough for it to fit in. A telescoping magnet can come in handy if you lose track of it. I used a little glue to hold it in
Place while I threaded it but once the ribs took hold it...
They’ll put them on and I believe they’ll be ok in some applications.
I went with the manufacturer’s recommendation because I use mine for offroading aired down to around 15psi and didn’t want to worry about popping the bead.
The Mojave comes from the factory with 33s on 7.5" rims. When I changed to 35s I went with 11.5" width so I could use the factory wheels. Eventually I'll go to 37s with wider wheels and a regear but that won't be in the budget for quite some time.
Since the Mojave has an upgraded suspension I used the AEV 2” spacer for mine to retain that suspension. When I wear it out I’ll decide then whether to rebuild those shocks or go with a bigger lift but at this point I think I have plenty of clearance.
I also think you’ll like the 37s better but...
have to agree 100% about blocking the fob re-write but aren’t there scanners that can copy your fob that would still allow thieves to get into the vehicle?
Or am I misreading the info?
I did my first self oil change today. On my Jeep that is..
This is my second change since the new engine. The first at 600 miles. This one only had 2300 miles on it but I wanted to get the dealer oil out and put the Amsoil in it that I bought when they replaced the engine. I was surprised how...
