It’s funny! In French, the word "couvre-tonneau" is used for the tonneau cover but the French word "tonneau" that means cask/tun/barrel is never used to name the bed of a truck! :whatsgoingon:
I’m imagining some forum members whispering alone "taw-no... ta-no... tow-no..." at home... and someone behind asking: "it’s your Gladiator forum again?!?" :CWL:
In French, the "to" in tonneau is between "taw" and "tow" because of the following double "n"... but with some regional accent, it’s just the same "o" at the beginning and at the end like in "no"...
I don’t know why I didn’t see this thread before... I have the same question since the first time I saw these pictures.
It seems to be 8´ kayaks. I think a 10´ kayak can’t be mounted this way as there would be at least 5´ unsupported and outside the 5´ bed of the JT. Me too I want to know how...
But it’s matching the peanut butter mud on the bumper...
Seriously, the new saddle colour is more like our Sahara 2011 pale leather seat than a brown saddle...
But for sheetrock, it’s self-notching. Just put the sheets in the bed, use a bumpy road to return from hardware store and when you’ll be back at home, you should find freshly notched sheetrock waiting for you in the bed of your Gladiator!!!
Do you know from where are the 2 last picture?
There’s no rear number (*bumper!) on the black one...
And the one hauling the trailer "wears" the same camo as the diesel mule...
