Nice work! Which hitch skid is that? Looks beefy and functional.
  2. Mojave from F150?

Yes - I switched from a '19 Raptor to a '22 Mojave. I was also tired of the full-size truck life having driven them for the last 20 years. I'm very happy with my Mojave. I sometimes miss the spaciousness of the F-150 but enjoy my Mojave tremendously!
  3. Building a Mojave on 40's

Your build is awesome and inspirational! I gotta ask, what kind of MPGs do you get with 40s and 5.13s?
  4. How long do you plan to keep this truck?

If this Jeep takes care of me, I will keep it for a while. I am truly enjoying it, look forward to drive it, and get a lot of satisfaction owning it. I will take care of it and I hope it does so in return. This is a keeper.
  5. Tires, Gears, and MPG

I wish I would have refueled once I got into Austin. I decided to see what the actual MPG was for the trip. I updated the post with the info.
  6. Tires, Gears, and MPG

I updated the post with the final numbers for the round trip and included the refuel. This allowed me to get the actual MPGs for the trip.
  7. Tires, Gears, and MPG

Not sure what you mean. I checked it on the highway. So it was probably between 60-70 mph.
  8. Tires, Gears, and MPG

Yes, tested against 2 GPS apps and several roadside speed-checker stations. When I shopped for my wheel/tire combo, I specifically searched for the lightest setup I could find in my budget. I don't recall exact #s but my new wheel/tire combo is +-3 pounds from stock. I'm sure this is helping my...

  12. Tires, Gears, and MPG

Just did a drive from San Antonio to Austin. Before we left SA, I filled up and reset the A-trip odometer. I have left the B-trip odometer untouched since I took delivery of the truck. The A-trip odometer reads 22.5 MPG and I saw a high of 22.8. This was 90% highway averaging 65-70 MPH. The...
  13. Offroad Tips for newbie

Realy appreciate the invite but its a bit out of reach for me.
  14. Offroad Tips for newbie

I am very interested in Moab. Not because I seek rock crawling but it just seems like an experience I have to put on my bucket list. Are the trails rated 1-3 heavy rock crawling as well? This couldn't be more true. I am slightly ashamed to admit this but, in my ignorance, i put the jeep in 4H...

Thanks for the reference. I joined a waiting list. Sadly, no open spots but this is exactly what I needed!
  18. Offroad Tips for newbie

Flame suit is on so I'm ready for the keyboard bullies...I'm new to offroading and the Jeep platform. So I'm coming in a severe disadvantage. I want to be able to enjoy my JTM offroad but I really don't know what to do when it comes to using 4 wheel drive. I know how to engage it but just not...
  19. Opinions on your Hard tonneau covers in 2022

I prefer hard tonneau covers. I bought the Rough Country one. Overall, I give it a B+. The materials and craftmanship is not as good as I'd expect. However, functionally it works great. Keeps contents dry and secure.

Cool trailer, can you share info on it? Never seen this one before. I am currently researching options and I do like the simplicity of this one. Any info would be appreciated.
