  1. Issues right out of the dealership parking lot

Update: service called me today, truck went in tuesday night. Said he's working directly with the FCA technicians to troubleshoot, and will be swapping rear driveshaft from a different gladiator they have to help isolate the issue. I'm happy to hear they are actively working at it. I asked...
  2. Transmission Clunk

This was my concept when driving my $4,000 XJ's, squeeks, rattles, exhaust, sticky lifters, piston slap, rod knock, it didn't have any of that....OR maybe it had all of that and my speakers drowned it out. hahahaha. The problem is now when adding a zero to that cost, brand new and never even...
  3. GAJR 2019

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/issues-right-out-of-the-dealership-parking-lot.21161/ It's in the service dept now. I'll be updating the thread linked above as soon as the dealer gets back to me.
  4. GAJR 2019

Was anyone at the rally last weekend? I actually took delivery a few weeks back so I was able to bring my JT...although it was an embarassing bone stock sport s with some serious vibration on the highway....still brought it up. Haha. Pic of the sting gray is mine, the others clearly are not...
  5. Loose Nut Behind The Steering Wheel

Flying J. The comic relief to what has been a very frustrating start to a select few of our ownership so far. Thank you for this. Needed a good innocent laugh. Lol
  6. Need for Rustproofing and Undercoating

I've been looking into this for my truck as well. Up here in CT, people are dumb as sh*t and as a result the state and towns plow every 0.25" of snow, and absolutely abuse the salt/liquid calcium spray treatment stuff, so any new car will have rust forming very quick during and after its first...
  7. Issues right out of the dealership parking lot

Hmm, I'd be the first to say I'm surprised and wrong if it were a tire related issue. Here's hoping it's something simple like that. I just went for a ride with the service manager this afternoon, he admitted to being able to hear and feel the vibe. As for the harsh downshifting trans on...
  8. Issues right out of the dealership parking lot

Wow. Thumbs up to that guy for taking the time to be thorough! Hope it leads to a solution. I'll be sure to suggest that method if my service dept tries to give my possible issues the shoulder. Haha.
  9. Issues right out of the dealership parking lot

Oh, hmm....now yours is sounding different than mine. Mine is very consistent and repeatable at 55 through 63. Have you attempted recording the sound or if anything visibly shakes in the cabin of the truck while it's happening? That could be your proof if so?
  10. Issues right out of the dealership parking lot

Yea sounds all too familiar with mechanics in general....maybe go for a ride WITH the tech? Thats what i will be doing. I've already confirmed with the service dept that they will allow that.
  11. Issues right out of the dealership parking lot

Update: have my appointment scheduled for next monday Sept. 16th. Going to address the following: 1. abrupt transmission downshift even when trying to brake as gently as possible 2. a mild yet noticable clunk/clack when initially starting the vehicle and shifting into Reverse in the morning 3...
  12. Transmission Clunk

Yup....i have noticed that. For f*cks sake, this thing better not turn into a bigger headache than it already is. The whole reason I bought brand new was to avoid issues for a while. At this rate I was better off with my 25 yr old XJ. Lol D*mn you FCA.
  13. Auto trans downshifting question

Didn't want to put this in for "issues" again. I have an appointment for next week in service for what sounds like driveline vibration but I am also wondering and want to check with the masses first to see if this other potential issue is normal or not. Sport S with max tow. During normal...
  14. Issues right out of the dealership parking lot

Update: During a little rain, on a straight shot of highway, i engaged it into 4hi to see if this changed the pitch or tone of the vibe. No difference at all. I'll ve reporting to a jeep service dept in exactly one week. In the mean time, I'm just under 400 miles, 340 of which were just...
  15. Let's see 'em - Larger tires on Sport S wheels

Looks good, what size? And is the front just stock suspension with the plastic bumper/fender flare extension piece removed?
  16. Let's see 'em - Larger tires on Sport S wheels

I don't want to clutter the thread since I'm on stock max tow tires for now. Hopefully links work. I posted a few pics here....I think I'm on page 24. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/sting-gray-gladiator-jt-club.8495/page-24 I don't mind the look of the bright silver wheels...
  17. STING GRAY Gladiator JT Club

Hey all! Picked mine up just over a week ago, drove it 300 miles home and only 20 miles since then. My OCD isn't letting me get it dirty just yet. Hahaha ABSOLUTELY love looking at this color in all the different lighting and reflection situations.
  18. Let's see 'em - Larger tires on Sport S wheels

Wow that actually looks really nice Rocksalt. I always liked the look of white letters out and with the white truck it looks that much better. I have sting gray so I'm not quite sure if keeping stock rims with that bright silver wheel looks good regardless of tire size.
  19. Issues right out of the dealership parking lot

No, I'm over in CT, there's a small town up near the Massachusetts border that hosts a jeep rally every year. Pretty much the only cool Jeep event that happens in CT. Haha
  20. 1500mi - Being serviced for drivetrain issue

Jeeze....I'm dealing with a highway vibe, it's definitely drivetrain related. I wonder if they are just telling you it's a "wire" because it seems like these dealerships and big car companies always try to start with fixing the cheapest thing they can even if deep down they know damn well that...
