The rockkrawler silverback kit comes with a triangulated rear and long arm front and you can choose a 4" spring height. Very smooth ride and I'd imagine pretty good for desert running. They offer a coilover kit you can add too.
Give them a call, I've had great experience talking with their tech...
Nailed it. Pulling a small (2500 lbs) camper across the country has had me wishing for more power for the first time. Even with 5.38s I have to spin the 3.6 pretty high to maintain speeds with 38" tires. I've never felt it was under powered off road though.
I heard a chirping noise at parking lot speeds while turning and i was convinced it was my steering box. I had adjusted the box because it was sloppy and i thought for sure that was the culprit. It was a loose track bar bolt. And i mean like 80ftlbs loose i stead of 100 (whatever the spec is)...
I wouldn't expect fender rub at ride height but any flex and i imagine you're going to grab them pretty hard. Looks cool though.
Any other supporting mods or are you looking for a stance more than clearance on the rocks?
Are they STT Pros?
I don't quite meet your spec but I'm running:
- 3" rockkrawler long arm/triangulated rear
- Borah beadlocks
- 38 Falken RT01
To clear the front control arms with a 38x13.5 I need a 4.5 back spacing. Obviously, the Borah runs 5.72" BS so I added a 1.5" spacer to accommodate for now. I've also...
Lost up travel because of the size of the center section or....what limits the up travel vs the stock 44?
Have you made any upgrades to the components of the D44? Good to hear it has held up to a beating. Makes me feel good about cross country trips with a trailer and hard wheeling.
