This argument is certainly valid and what I have read may times by people making the case that the vehicles should just go full EV. However I don't think that the gladiator customers and use cases will be served by current EV technology.
Now if they could manage to put the RAM charger...
But the vast majority of people only drive 20 miles a day 300+ days of the year. So that is "real world" situations.
The wrangler 4xe is the best selling phev in the USA and that powertrain was 40% of wrangler sales for 2023. There seems to be a good demand for it.
Right, dealers will see it, but they aren't putting it into the configurator on the Jeep website. That's why jeep just has a link to contact a dealer on the website with the disclaimer.
Also, dealer's get to place the orders for the vehicles that are on the lot because in theory they will know...
I see plenty of Bikini color wranglers on the lot and the Jeep website had the same thing for that color. I think they just put this because they don't make it available in the online configurator and they have a limited number that they will allow to be ordered.
I'm not sure how many dealers...
I agree. I didn't get to pick my color (granite crystal) and it's better than white or black in my opinion but I'm seriously thinking about wrapping it.
The sale seems to have worked. A lot fewer in stock when I looked around me today. Those that are left are either low trims with lots of options or higher trims with very few options.
The best deals have moved on. It will be interesting to see how the 2024 models move and if they'll have to do...
