Metalcloak makes a reenforcement kit for the rear sway bar link to frame connections. It is better to install it before the frame mount breakes. Lots of them have broken, including one of mine.
My original windshield lasted 45,000 miles. I got it changed in Tucson for $250 and wished I had done it sooner. It’s amazing how you don’t notice how much all the small chips reduce your visibility.
We did the Rubicon a couple of months ago. Five rigs, three with Rock Hard sliders. Two JLUs and my Gladiator, the sliders took a beating but none of them moved toward the body even a little bit. The also work fine as step when you get the down angled version.
Mine failed and we had to weld in a new piece. I added the reinforcement bracket. It does make the mud flap install more challenging. But they still fit.
Check out Go Fast or Super Pacific campers. Alucab is nice but very heavy. Payload is an issue and even with my Super Pacific I needed suspension and brake upgrades.
I went with the EVO manual disconnect, I used a Tazer JL Mini, https://www.zautomotive.com/product/z_tzr_jlm/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw_qexBhCoARIsAFgBlevpKLNtH1RdDY4S8szIN1CyJ0Qlhk81LGjpVyKvB2Jgnint5OnywLYaAsf0EALw_wcB#camera-kit. No more flashing lights or Service 4WD messages. It does a lot...
I think, most of us who joke about 20s don't hate. We just like to laugh. One can do whatever they want with their rig. We're happy some drivers buy them for the road. Without everyone who buys a Gladiator, they might stop making them!
I’ve had these for years. Slid over rocks, logs and about anything else you can slide over. With a little touch up after rough trips they look good as new and have totally protected the rig. 3M anti skid tape on the step areas is a must as they can get slippery when wet.
Steps that aren’t...
I found play in my drag link where it attaches to the passenger wheel at about 36,000 miles. The replacement drag link Jeep supplied me had a clunk. I replaced it with a metal cloak, one which had no slop in it whatsoever and it is greaseable. Then I checked several stock versions on new and...
I do trails up to 7 with the same height lift and tires as you have. I have a Super Pacific canopy/tent and it’s fine. As long as you don’t put a bunch of other weight up high. Be safe!
