I have two Pentestars currently and had a 2011 GC with one. I have driven them many thousands of miles. I had a spark plug go bad in my 17 GC. Other than that they have been flawless, just saying.
Itās concerning a service writer can say that with a straight face. This is one of the most frustrating things I have run into with dealers. Some say they donāt do it, some just lie and say they will but donāt do it. I gave up and do it myself. My off road trailer runs matching 37ā tires and...
While I agree with what most of the folks saying, the break over and departure angles are such that once you get into anything very rough at all you will drag the belly and rear bumper quite a bit. Necessary no, but a little lift and/or a little larger tires makes a big difference. If I were you...
It would be temping and have some advantages. But I deleted the 60% seat with a Goose Gear kit. It offers huge secure storage and I can still haul 3 people. For me a bench seat up front is a non-starter. Everything is a trade off.
Oh what a great world it would be if we were all as tough and manly as you! Alas, some of us just grovel around in the ditch with our creature comforts :(
Once I drove a car with it, I never wanted to be without it. It can greatly reduce fatigue on road trips and keep one from speeding without realizing it.
I kept my 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk when I bought my JTR. Couldnāt be happier with the duo. I have great road manners with the WK2 and am never without serious off-road capabilities. I took the GC out in the dessert the other day and it reminded me how capable it is. On the way back on the...
35s are big enough unless you want to do serious off road with rocks. If you do any real off-roading that belly will be in contact with the ground a lot without a lift.
I have an off road trailer with matching wheels and tires to my JTR. I do a 7 tire rotation. Not only is it better to wear all tires evenly, the whole point of rotation, It maximizes the investment you make in 5, or in my case 7 tires. I stopped having the dealers rotate my tires long ago. Even...
Maybe its not how we drive. Maybe weāre just lucky? I added the wind deflector to my JT and it does seem to help. All the bad chips are from before I added it. But now Iāve probably jinxed myself as I am heading to Moab in my GC on Monday from NW Washington.
I completely agree with your point. But if you were driving way over the limit and tailgating trucks, you would probably have way more broken windshield stories. Especially on Wranglers and Gladiators because of their extremely aerodynamic windshields. ?
I just had a kid rear end my trailer and his Mazda looks even worse, definitely totaled. Fortunately the trailer took the damage and I drove away after the police were done. Hoping there is no frame damage. He hit the trailer pretty hard.
