I had steering play issues originally on my JT Launch Edition. The Synergy sector shaft kit fixed that. Over three years later and 35,000 miles and it still makes me smile every time I get in it.
It’s the same as attaching an aluminum hose end to a brass/bronze outdoor spigot. If you leave them connected long enough you will not get them apart.
Almost 35k miles, still original with two chips filled. I installed the Jeep wind deflector on the hood a long time ago. It does seem to reduce the hits somewhat. Or I may just be lucky.
I dont know of any MTs that are snow rated. I run 37 KO2s which are snow rated and have driven over mountain passes in 18” of snow without issue. My neighbor has an Overland JT with stock wheels and tires and I wouldnt go out in the snow in that.
If you plan to do serious off roading the Rubicon is the clear choice. Lockers, sway bar disconnect, higher fenders, a 4:1 transfer case and other goodies make it much more capable.
If you only plan minor off roading, maybe not worth spending the money.
