Stripped the inner fender and tire off and got busy replacing the aluminum steering gear for the steel one… too many miles to have the dealership do it… beside dropping and spilling almost a full pint of power steering fluid on the ground because I’m talented like that… pretty smooth install.
If you can reach under your inner fender and to each clip from behind, you can use a needle nosed plier and pinch while you pull.
More than likely your gonna break a few and having backups is always good. You never know when you gonna need them again.
Personally, I’ve done the “just yankem...
Thank you for the kind words.
Trust me… it doesn’t get any easier! Lol… I have a few more things going on because my queen is soooo demanding… and I’m going to Moab here in may
Can you say Molle? My queen can… lol… she got dressed up with some Builtright industries side molle panels with thier rotopax and quick fist mounts. Got a fire extinguisher thrown in too.
got her soft top put on for da summer… gonna enjoy that flow through
ps… my rotopax was from a previous...
The queen with all the driving she does needed to be a little lighter on her feet. So we changed out rims to black rhino sentinel’s. Also she was getting tired of waiting on the trailhead to get on the trails, so we made sure to add the apex rpv valves. And to keep style up, did some red lugnuts...
I got home yesterday and saw all the stuff I need to put on the ol girl… I started today with changing my rims out… traded out my dirty life dt1’s for black rhino sentinels with apex rpv valves and red lugnuts to match.
…. And yes my dt1’s are for sale.
After having onboard ARB air on 2 different jeep vehicles… I will never ever put one under the hood again. Not only mentioned above about the crap they take… it’s the heat soak from the engine. That’s the worst part.
good luck with what you want to do.
