Define "fitment issues"! So at the don't of the bed the Gladiator is lower than the side rails and the topper is flat all around so there is a gap index the topper at that point. Looking into finding something that will fill that in. The topper is quake on all four corners and the Gladiator...
I've been trying to figure out how to mount my RTT onto my topper. I called several places A.R.E. dealer, custom rack shops, offerup and Craigslist...no luck finding anything new under $800 or used short enough. So I made these up and they feel strong AF! Tomorrow ill mount the tent and...
So I have an older commercial style topper and I'm wondering how much weight can I put directly onto it...no rack. I wanted to mount my RTT directly to it but I'm not sure it will support the weight of the tent, two people and my dog.
I'm also thinking of maybe running unistrut between the...
I have a topper that I'm going to mout the compressor too. I just figured four 2'-3' hoses would be easier to store than a 15'-20' hose...the cool fact it 1000% higher if i have air at each wheel! LOL
I installed something similar to this. Look on Amazon. It has jumper cable clamps on one end and is way longer.. Took me longer to put the plastic wire wrap/conduit stuff on it then to install it.. 30A might be over kill for your needs but you never know what the future holds in store for...
Thats cool and that was my first idea, but I want the lines permanently installed so all I have to do is connect a short hose from the wheel to some place inside the wheelwell.
Same idea basically.
My ARB compressor is on its way. I want to make airing up as easy as possible.. I want an air chuck at reach wheel but don't want to run the risk of them rubbing and getting holes. Has anyone done this or is there a kit out there?
Not as sexy as the new A.R.E. Gladiator topper, but it was $3,300 less! Picked this up for $300 on Offerup. It was on a Tacoma, it just needed $60 of bed armor!
Its 11am and this is what I got done today:
- Cascadia solar and VSS controller
- 25 Amp constant hot 12v plug to back seat area
- Red Line hood shocks
- Drake Lockable hood latches
I just picked up an A.R.E. cap from a Tacoma that I'm going to spray with bed liner... hopefully mount today.
I don't think it's a weight or parts issue....I'm pretty sure its how you get in and out. I also have to lift it constantly but I know my left leg pushes the lever down every time I get in or out.
I just installed them a few days ago. I cut the harness aff the fender and spliced the wires into that then plugged it back in. No issues and no diode. Blinkers work with no issues
