After I installed my winch in the Sport stock bumper, I was left with that same brace piece and a plastic air dam that didn’t fit quite right. Glad to see it reused for this purpose, but just as another option is what I ended up getting, in case you haven’t seen it...
They make large cement-mixing tubs that are pretty sturdy, like this one. Perhaps add a threaded drain plug? Just brainstorming.

I don’t think he cares about the actual MPG, more like range. And obviously knowing MPG and tank capacity can help one plan their range. Calm down with the “maybe you shouldn’t be out there” sentiment. People are all different, some like to know what they’re getting into before getting into it...
I also saw a review of aftermarket heaters on Qtech site that mentioned they worked great through neoprene covers. Since I don’t have them stock, I was going to take the opportunity to add them between the covers and stock seats. Great to hear they’re not slippy, now to settle on a color.
Thanks for the reply, but to clarify, I was wondering if the neoprene is more slick when you’re sitting in it. Like in cornering, with leather for example, it can feel like you are sliding sideways because it is typically less grippy than fabric. I have a neoprene center console cover and have...
Could you comment on how slippy/grippy they are compared to the cloth? I also have the tan cloth interior, love the look, but collecting some stains already with only 3 months of ownership. Been contemplating these covers myself.
I came across a couple of locations where my sport lacked the nutserts. After watching a couple of videos on them, I am not sure they serve any purpose where a bolt/nut could not be used instead. Except of course if you don’t have access to the backside of the item you’re trying to fasten to...
I also love my harbor freight creeper

edit: I see they also make one that’s got at adjustable headrest, time for an upgrade!
Yeah, the specified height is just over 8 inches, but the fact that all 4 corners are up somehow makes it feel quite luxurious under there.
I bough the second pair from a local midwestern hardware store. I feel you on the age, I’m not quite up there like you but have a bad back...
Howdy friend, I hope your experience with using a jack for general under-truck work is better than mine. I upgraded to that same jack when I got the gladiator from my 1.5 ton low profile racing-days one. But I found that while it’s the perfect tool for the job when you need to get a wheel off...
I’m a 4x4 noob, but if you’re in 4-wheel drive and your rears are spinning, wouldn’t the fronts have to spin at the same rate? But since there’s less traction up front due to weight transfer to the rear on an uphil, the fronts hop as they try to keep up with the rears?
Ha, when I was flying down to Gupton to pick up my gladiator, I asked a buddy for a ride to the airport. He unfortunately didn’t think his truck (2005 F-150) would make it to the airport and back (about 30 mins away). I said, “in a few days, I’ll also know how that feels!” Jeep jokes for the win.
I’m also a Toyota guy, but look at the Jeep this way: it’s that crazy girlfriend that might stab you, but she’s a lot of fun. I fully knew Jeep reliability is the very definition of the poorly-made vehicle cliche. I figured if the roof leaks, or the engine ticks, or I get the death wobble (tm)...
It is recommended in fact, I’ve been amazed how many items for the Jeep come with incorrect or missing hardware. My Truxedo cover came with 1 incorrect bolt, not even close to the style the others were (well, I guess it was black like the others). And my Rusty’s skids came with only 3 of 4...
It obviously depends on your use case. Without knowing more about it, the answer would be “maybe?” I’m sorry to sound sassy, but did you really expect people to give you helpful info knowing nothing about your setup? Depends where you live, how long you leave your truck unattended full of gear...
I know the panel that these screw into is plastic, but recommend a nylon washer if preserving the paint is important to you. I removed mine to day to put my doors on for a trip, and I guess I tightened them too much.
