  1. Got the bad news today

seeing how many would run out and take a picture and post it online.
  2. Deciding to give up on Jeep

The 2021 owner's manual says 100k. I would say that's optimal timeframe. I'm in "testing" mode, as I only replaced the right bank when I replaced the cam and rockers. Left side is original.
  3. Got the bad news today

Don't fall for it, lads. That's AI slop right there. You can tell by the gas flag.
  4. Gladiator through a car wash? Experiences?

I wouldn't doubt the electronic eyes in car washes would have a hard time computing [distance to tire sidewall] and [distance to body] measurements and maybe freaking out over that. Since most vehicles don't have 42" tires, that could also be outside the machine's parameters. I'm not up on car...
  5. Gladiator through a car wash? Experiences?

I usually do a self-washer. Done a drive-thru wash a few times. No problem. Accidentally did a touchy car wash with my half-rack on my roof. Probably not the best for their equipment. But no problems, other than missed spots that happen at all car washes.
  6. If Wrangler and Gladiator are the same from the cab forward ......?

Please show me where there's a 3.0TT Wrangler or Gladiator. That was what my post was referring to.
  7. If Wrangler and Gladiator are the same from the cab forward ......?

Also, you can't really compare old V8 swaps to V8 swaps of today. Take a look at the engine bay of anything pre-1980 and it's pretty basic. All the "improvements" have filled the engine bay with hoses, wires, sensors, plastic, etc., and made it much more cramped.
  8. If Wrangler and Gladiator are the same from the cab forward ......?

That is the most pressing issue with the 3.0TT in a JT/JL - making it fit. At 33", it's 5" longer than a 6.4L 392 before all the turbo plumbing and accessories. "But there's tons of room with the 3.6L in there. The engine bay actually measures 38" front - back!" Some will say. As someone...
  9. Jeeptruck shuts off when fishtailing…feature or bug?

It's "protecting" you, because there are too many idiots. You can't rev the engine in N very high, you can't back up with the door open, etc.
  10. Deciding to give up on Jeep

What do you consider excessive? This is not a case where we're saying 2+2=5. 1200 misfires in Cyl 1 in less than 10 seconds is excessive. 20 misfires in 30 minutes isn't. If it doesn't throw a code, no one can help you at the dealership, basically. There are many things that can cause...
  11. If Wrangler and Gladiator are the same from the cab forward ......?

I don't think that's much of an issue, since Stellantis still gets the money. I'm sure they would prefer customers buy the product with the greater profit margin, which I wouldn't doubt would be the Ram. In-family sales cannibalism isn't a bad deal. They may make it that way on purpose, as...
  12. Do they make a Top like this?

I think those would be called a "safari top" or similar, wouldn't they? I think that's what the Land Cruiser & Defender people call them.
  13. If Wrangler and Gladiator are the same from the cab forward ......?

Yeah, how about no. There's no way the Gladiator will double in sales volume with a bigger motor option and a higher price tag. For one, the 5.7 isn't coming to the JT. Second, the increase in 2025 sales over 2024 came in Q3 and Q4, when Jeep pushed heavy discounts, up to $10-12k for the premium...
  14. If Wrangler and Gladiator are the same from the cab forward ......?

I was keeping it brief because it's a dead horse to why it's taken so long. But, as per usual, you don't read the room and come in like Leroy Jenkins. Everything is controlled from the corporate positioning of limiting costs. 1. Frame, motor mounts, exhaust routing, steering, wiring, etc...
  15. Deciding to give up on Jeep

Also, Jeep isn't owned by FIAT. It's "owned" by Stellantis. Stellantis was formed by a merger of PSA Group and FIAT Chrysler Automobiles. Technically, it's owned by companies, trusts, funds, and individual shareholders; the 3 largest shareholders are Exor, an Italian holding company (aka...
  16. what does it mean when jeep has been in inspection............

Well I hope they check with the experts here. The ones that clearly know more than others and don't need anyone telling them what to do because they already know it.
  17. If Wrangler and Gladiator are the same from the cab forward ......?

    1. The platform isn't engineered for a V8 w/o heavy re-engineering; the 392 Wrangler isn't a plug-n-play V6 to V8 swap either. 2. CAFE, crash testing, and other regulations to be satisfied at a heavy cost 3. Stellantis' idiotic EV-First direction from previous management that killed/delayed...
