The easiest way is to disconnect the head unit. Most of the data collection is being transmitted via the head unit. There was a time where Americans wouldnāt stand for the invasive data collection we all just accept as āthereās nothing I can do about itā now. How much data everyone shares is...
Yall think you have problems with people putting stuff on your jeeps yall should see the trail of womenās undergarments that get thrown at you as you drive down the road in the coolest vehicle ever made where I live. Hugh crowds of women yelling āHawk Tuah I love that thangā š j/k.
With my CJ...
It cost me $125 to have my tires mounted and balanced at discount. However, the price that I paid for tires with these guys was several hundred dollars cheaper than discount tires price so it was still a big cost saving. To be completely honest with you the main reason I purchased from here was...
Just want to say these fellas are great to deal with. I ordered a set of Mickey Thompsons Wednesday of this week and they shipped them from Ohio to Texas faster than my local Discount Tire could get them. Tires arrived yesterday (Friday) at 10am and are already on my jeep. They were...
Fella needs to build a Gladiator that comes from the factory with a 6.4L Hemi and Dana 60s running 40s. No one wants a battery operated toyā¦. Wellā¦. Most of us donāt
I think itās mostly the guys up North who are used to Salt eating perfectly good vehicles. Down south we drive trucks from the 70s that are barely starting to patina.
My gladiator started doing this last week and it was incredibly frustrating. I started at the most simple solution and threw the jeep on a set of jackstands and rotated the wheels and could not get the jeep to make the high pitched intermittent squeal. From there I removed the wheels and noticed...
The 3 honk needs to go!!!!
The auto start stop needs to go !!!!
The data collection that you do through the uconnect system needs to go!!!!!
Taller gears should be an option from factory so you can run 37s or 40s from the factory
An option for ton axles from the factory
the thicker Mojave...
I had asked about deactivating the tracking in another post. It seems like the uconnect radio is the primary culprit in collecting and transmitting data. If one were to disconnect the radio I wonder if it would manually disable the vehicles ability to transmit your personal information
Fair enough. You can never be too sure. I pay for the services and every month or so you get an update like the one below to the privacy policy that makes you question why they need to collect ā Vehicle, performance and driving data, precise geolocation and other personal information is...
forgive me if this comes across as dense. If I wasnāt too married to the factory radioā¦. Could I just swap to an aftermarket radio and disable all the tracking ? Or maybe install a toggle switch on the power wire to the radio and kill the tracking when I donāt want it on?
I agree that they should have supplied us with better options. Us having to chop up our grill was the easiest way out for them.
I will say Iām at the 6 month mark almost and have had zero issue. Gladdy has 32,000 miles across 11 states and counting and the lock opens every time.
I have said it beforeā¦.. I will walk barefoot over broken glass and then swim in a vat of Kentucky moonshine (the good stuff with no bubbles) before I convert to an electric car.
Great question. That I cannot answer. I would assume it has to do with trying to maintain similar mounting points for the motor mounts and electrical wiring. Transmission length and driveshaft length. We need a Chrysler engineer to answer that one. I assume they saved a penny .
I think it all boils down to cost savings on research and design. Iām a die hard Buy American guy but Stellantis hasnāt exactly embodied the reliability of the old day Dodge / Jeep vehicles. They needed a diesel that would be relatively light and have a low enough profile to fit under the hood...
