I had asked about deactivating the tracking in another post. It seems like the uconnect radio is the primary culprit in collecting and transmitting data. If one were to disconnect the radio I wonder if it would manually disable the vehicles ability to transmit your personal information

forgive me if this comes across as dense. If I wasn’t too married to the factory radio…. Could I just swap to an aftermarket radio and disable all the tracking ? Or maybe install a toggle switch on the power wire to the radio and kill the tracking when I don’t want it on?

I agree that they should have supplied us with better options. Us having to chop up our grill was the easiest way out for them. I will say I’m at the 6 month mark almost and have had zero issue. Gladdy has 32,000 miles across 11 states and counting and the lock opens every time.

Great question. That I cannot answer. I would assume it has to do with trying to maintain similar mounting points for the motor mounts and electrical wiring. Transmission length and driveshaft length. We need a Chrysler engineer to answer that one. I assume they saved a penny .
