Digging up an old thread...
I had to take one of my scuba tanks back to dive shop for a fill. In shooting the breeze with them, started on scuba diving stuff. The guy there that hauled my tank back out to my Gladiator. Most of my scuba diving gear is as old as he is. In fact the three tanks I...
I've "over built" the coop with 1/4 hardware cloth sandwiched between 2x4s. Yeah, I kinda got carried away on building it. I actually don't normally have them to "close" all the loose dogs around. Bobcats, and other cats are seen/ recorded on security, door and game cameras around my area...
I can see a Trac-Loc wearing out, but not as often as you said. I might have a few, one with 256000 miles on it another with over 40000 miles. But I always have added the Trac-Loc additive when I replaced gear oil. I actually try to keep a few tubes of it on hand. But the True Trac is...
I definitely have some around. :giggle:
I'm planning on getting some chickens. I got sidelined mid summer and didn't get the hen house part built. Early today I was at Lowes and started to buy the plywood for it. I decided not to get it at that store, some of their younger employees were...
As easy as any other axles... If you know what you are doing and have the tools, time, place. From what I have read the "newer" design axles are easier to install lockers due to recently designed housing. Many of old school housings are from castings that started being made 60 years ago. Not...
I had to do that with my Comanche and Wrangler or it would hit my knee. ;)
FYI, I thought about getting manual windows when I got mine too, it would have pushed me getting it back probably 3-6 months then.
Yeah on the socket to tighten the oil filter cap a 1/4 drive handle and 3/8 adapter to keep from cranking it down to much wouldn't be bad. The NEW O-ring is the sealing not trying to torque the hell out of it. 5 qt of full synthetic oil is under $50.00 at Walmart and filters under $10.00...
Reading your situation a "Max-Tow package is likely a better fit in many ways. Lockers and ice can be interesting to say the least. On limited slip it can be the same especially if you don't have some weight in the rear... standard open differential too. But the 4:10 ratio will be sadly missed...
Well, I can agree with that along with Citizens watches... trouble with it is Citizen doesn't support mine anymore.
Plus, it's not happy with still working, the last service by Citizen was several decades back, cost me almost half of what it costed me. I'm sure they were surprised on having a...
My youngest nephew collects watches several years back he gave me one... I don't wear it because I would hate destroying it. I know I've definitely destroyed several, one not in manor most here have. Scratches and general wear n tear.
For some reason some don't like being near IED blasts...
I got 3 4x4s 2 2x8s and several 2x4s made a wood gantry to lift off the hardtop on my LJ and use it to lift and set the topper and RTT on my JT. With a cheap H.F hand operated boat winch.
That is it in background, nothing hard to build. And could be taken apart easily too.
I'd be totally surprised to get that repaired for $1500.00 especially in CA. In AL it would be substantially higher than that. The first scratch or dent is the hardest. I can remember the first on my MJ, XJ, LJ, and scratches on JT. The scratches and first dent on my LJ was from meeting up...
