So you've got a spare 220 axle shafts setting around. Funny I've got one of my TJ's axle shafts that I know where it is the other is mis-layed in my shed. One is still setting next to the hydraulic press to replace the damn seal and bearing. I don't want to do it because one is good the other...
That's probably what is on a 2k winch I've got on a mount to use with a trailer too. It's a old H.F. ATV winch that I swapped off of my 300 Polaris 4 wheeler many years ago. If it was still daylight I'd snag a picture of it to put on here.
I'm just winding down now with a shot or so of...
I'd agree with the put the selectable locker in front axle and leave the Trac-Loc in the rear. But, I've had a locker in front axle and Trac-Loc in rear of my XJ for over 20 years. During the snow storm in 99 I was in IL. Driving it no problems, actually stopped went back to offer to pull...
I have a few LED lights and a water pump in my Gladiator along that line.
Earlier today I was "making a portable battery system" using the original batteries I had in my Gladiator on the solar system.
2 36 amp LiPo batteries now in a H.F. case to protect them from water to use on boat and...
Don't feel to bad I've been working on my Scamp T.T. I ordered it in 2010 and used it full time until a few years back.
A "experience" I've had in the past during winter trip with my Scamp T.T. stopped overnight cold in 20's I left the T.T. plugged in to my Wrangler Unlimited cranked on the...
Depending on the winch on them welding leads wire 0 gauge or larger if over 5k winch. Actually on most of the winches I don't use a fuse. Except for Badlands they come with them or a breaker. But do use relay's. On JT and XJ "did"
If done the right way it might make it easier to secure or lower the spare tire when needed. :like: the HDPE would be light weight and long lasting.
With a tire as wide as in the utube videos heading it would stick down lower the the center section of the axle anyway. :giggle:
I've always added it in my Jeeps that have Trac-Loc's no matter if the gear oil says it has additives for it. I keep a tube on hand for it. At least 3 axles I have are still working fine. One has over 255k on it.
My 4.0 Wrangler Unlimited has been running synthetic oil since I bought it in 05 and I have regularly went to 5k and a lot higher a few times. I do almost all of my own oil changes. According to the Blackstone oil analysis it's been still good for many more miles. Same with my Gladiator I just...
So something along this line.
Or actually this one.
That one is is actually so I can use a receiver mount winch. I don't know if the wiring would be up to the task of running power from a solar system to the batteries on late model vehicles. Much of the wiring is fine as frog fur now. 🤔...
Not brand loyal in general. I've have stuff from all over. The bumper on my Gladiator is Amazon special but actually a JK bumper. Reason why, it was fast delivery for protection from deer . Best bang for my $$ is a priority for much. My Wrangler looks like I had stock in Tuffy and Rock hard...
I'm not planning on buying another vehicle, I've got my project list started for this year.
I've been working on my travel trailer for last few weeks, a few more jobs on it.
A few things for my Wrangler Unlimited. Then a bunch of things for my Comanche and Cherokee(s) ??? then Pontoon...
Or pressure washers.:headbang:
I was trying to clean the crud off one rim, cutting right though the Plasti-Dip so I stripped most of the rest of the same way. I might need to redo them again. 🤔
Back O.T.
Good luck with anything on the soft plastic door panels. I'm sure mine are scratched...
