My trailer winch will actually run from an old battery charger (we did it to load that Firebird a year or two back). 2500 pound ATV winch.
The leads are 10 gauge (but maybe a tad small for a full load)
That's probably what is on a 2k winch I've got on a mount to use with a trailer too. It's a old H.F. ATV winch that I swapped off of my 300 Polaris 4 wheeler many years ago. If it was still daylight I'd snag a picture of it to put on here.

I'm just winding down now with a shot or so of bourbon myself. Was working on a few projects and ran out of flux core wire in welder.... About 2/3 done welding, and didn't want to pull out the MIG to finish since windy and raining off and on. So I moved to doing the portable battery box thing.

LOL - keep an eye on me - I'm drinking coffee and diet coke and watching Terminator movies to try to stay awake until I have to go get my wife at the airport - at after 1am - ugh.
THEN, drop off her friend at her house, THEN come home.
Long dang day.
Ouch. Drive safely.

I am looking into doing something similar to this. I have a 6AWG run for approximately 30-40 Amp DC to DC run in my JL. Just got a new gladiator and looking to do a similar run pretty quickly, and was looking the the rear bumper just like this... Would love to know the route you took to run your wire and what all was required to get this surface/flush mount installed on your bumper. Did you remove the bumper to install?
